Angelo Cataldi seems to feel COMFORTABLE when he askes certain media people their prediction and they say the Eagles. But this morning he asked Philadelphia Inquirer Sportswriter Ashely Fox who she thought would win on Saturday. Her response was

"I think the Cowboys win on saturday, actually I don't think it will even be close"

Angelo, and all his on-air sidekicks were STUNNED and SPEECHLESS at what she said-lol Great way to start the day.

I doubt Angelo was shocked. That scumbag will pick Dallas. As will Rhea. Al Morganti was probably asleep so he had no reaction.

Nope I don't think so, Angelo has been rooting for the Beagles since 89 and expect to SNAP if the Beagles lose.

Negative, man.

Cataldi is from Rhode Island and a NY fan. He hides it because he has to play to his audience, but it is well known that he prefers the negative to happen rather than the positive because it gives him more fodder for his show.

He's been in Philadelphia since 1983. First as a reporter with the Inquirer and then as a WIP talker.

His outrage when they lose is fake. He does it to needle the fans. That clown couldn't tell you an in depth thing about any of the teams in Philadelphia. He's a hack.

Trust me. I listened to his drivel for years.

His most memorable outrage which i thought was REAL was when the bucs beat the eagles in 2003 in the NFCC

Yeah, even my mother was outraged at that. And she doesn't know jack. That was a gigantic kick in the groin.

TruckDriver, you just took all the FUN out of the morning show-lol All these years I thought Angelo was SNAPPING and sounding like he was about to pop a blood vessel was real and entertaining.

What does his being from Rhode Island have to do with anything? :laugh2:

That was absolutely my favorite non-Cowboys NFL moment.:D

Watching the eagles lose the SB and other NFC Championship games was great, but nothing compared to that.

All the other losses were either acceptable or expected by the fan base. But that TB loss was the worst by far. Even I had conceded the fact that they were going on to probably win the SB.

Not one fan I know of even considered the possibility of losing that game.

I was so sure the Eagles would win I didn't even watch the game-lol I received a email and phone telling me what happened and almost passed out.

Yep, pretty much. Losing was not an option. Especially after the way the game started with BMitch and Duce starting it off so well.

I sat in my chair in a catatonic state for about 4 hours after that. I couldn't watch that Super Bowl.

Nice of her to actually be objective about it. Of course the game has to be played, but if the past is any indication of the future...it'll be bad news for McFlabb.

If the truth be told, alot of "media guys" pick against the Boyz just for ratings.

If the Boyz lose, then they look great because they predicted it.

If the Boyz win, all the fans will tune in to see them eat crow. Its like Dungy saying we had no chance and as soon as we won there were threads on here saying "man I cant wait to see NBC football in America and see Dungy's response".

My point exactly.
