I turned on Versus the other night to catch a hockey game. Turned out the game was over, and Comcast Sportsnight was over. I generally can't stand the show, but watched for a couple of minutes because they were talking about the Skins' WR troubles.
First funny thing: In a story about Brandon Lloyd, the anchor said, "Since being part of a trade with S.F. two years ago, Lloyd has caught exactly the same number of NFL touchdowns as my co-anchor. And, it seems he won't be increasing that number as a Commander."
Second funny thing, and an interesting T.O. story: They did a story on newly signed Commanders WR Jimmy Farris. Apparently T.O. and Farris were teammates with the 49ers. Farris was a rookie, and T.O. used to give him clothes! At that point a young bachelor, T.O. had a bad habit of buying new clothes, washing them once, and having them shrink so bad they didn't fit him anymore. Since Farris had no money and is a good bit smaller, T.O. would call him and tell him to come over and take whatever he wanted from the "shrunk pile"!
Awesome. See ... T.O. isn't really a bad guy after all. He gave a rookie some clothes!
