Furboy 2021 mock draft 2.0 with no trades

Hello everyone and welcome to my second non-trade mock draft for the Cowboys! As usual, I'm using First-Pick, so the grades you see are the grades given by First-Pick for my choices. As is standard, I'll provide videos or link to stats for the player if no video is available. Also, there will be a brief explanation as to why I chose the player. So, without further adieu, leeeeeeet's get into it!

Round 1 Pick 10: Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech (A-)

Caleb Farley 6'2" and 207 lbs - One of the 3 best CBs in the draft and, imo, the best CB in the draft. Gives us nice firepower at CB to pair him up with Diggs.

Round 2 Pick 12: Jay Tufele, DT, USC (A-)

Jay Tufele 6'3" and 305 lbs - Okay, okay, I know! This draft is starting off very similarly to other mock drafts that I've done. I promise that the rest of the draft will be, for the most part, different haha. DT's important, Tufele is the best DT in the draft, so this is my pick here. Let's move on!

Round 3 Pick 11: Jabril Cox, ILB/OLB, LSU (A)

Jabril Cox 6'3" and 233 lbs. Formerly with North Dakota State but spent the last season with LSU. We need LB, and he was the LB option I liked best at this spot.

Round 3 Pick 35 (COMP): Ar'Darius Washington, FS/SS, TCU (A+)

Ar'Darius Washington 5'8" and 178 lbs. Not a tall safety, but he looks athletic when I watch him. He's got excellent hands. Imo, he'd give us a good safety option.

Round 4 Pick 10: TeDarrell Slaton, DT, Florida (A+)

TeDarrell Slaton 6'5" and 340 lbs. Massive DT who fits well at 1T. Great run stopper, chews up the blocks well, and surprisingly athletic for his size. Imagine him landing on Saquan Barkley! Yes please! Sign us up for him!

Round 4 Pick 33 (COMP): Landon Young, OT, Kentucky (A+)

Landon Young 6'7" and 321lbs. Massive OT. Player we can use to develop into a replacement for Smith eventually. Reminds me a tad of Doug Free (who was also a 4th round pickup) with the way he moves and blocks. As you can see in the video, he run blocks really quite well.

Round 5 Pick 34 (COMP): Paddy Fisher, ILB/OLB, Northwestern (A+)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7r7wjeCYmIU&t=24s
Paddy Fisher 6'4" and 240 lbs. Good LB option who, along with Cox, helps us reload our LB options.

Round 6 Pick 8: Adetokunbo Ogundeji, DE/OLB, Notre Dame (A+)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuJ4PZ-j9H0&t=5s
Adetokunbo Ogundeji 6'4 and 269 lbs. Tall and athletic DE. Gives us nice depth at DE, especially if we don't resign Aldon Smith.

Round 6 Pick 41 (COMP): Tay Gowan, CB, Central Florida (A+)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgFXD_WNt-U&t=42s
Tay Gowan 6'2" and 185 lbs. Tay Gowan is a solid CB who would battle with Anthony Brown. Also, considering we're probably going to lose Jourdan Lewis as well as Awuzie, it'd be nice to add Gowan as well as Farley.

Round 7 Pic k 10: Shane Buechele, QB, SMU (A+)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsugyjB9ACs
Shane Buechele 6'1 and 207 lbs. With the 7th round, can't go wrong taking a QB here. Would provide good camp competition with DiNucci and Gilbert. Given that there will be a proper preseason, and the fact that we play the HOF game against Pittsburgh, this gives us an extra game to test out our young QBs to see who should be the 3rd string QB. It'll be good to have a good camp battle here. Oh, and he's an Arlington kid, so he'd be a locally-sourced player.

Thoughts?

Nice. I like the choices. I think Slaton goes later, and Fisher is too slow for the scheme. But overall, a very nice draft.

I do not think the Cowboys would take the small safety. They might regret not doing so. But I don't think he meets their minimums.

Yeah, Fisher isn't the fastest, but I think he'd be good for us in rotation. Slaton may go later, but I don't think he'd fall to our 5th round spot, and he's what we need at DT. I see that with S. I kinda see us going Caden Sterns from UT instead, but I prefer who I took.
