This is my 6th variant of no trade mocks. To help explain this draft, this was a one run. No trades, no redoes. It makes this an additional challenge. This was straight on through with no other adjustments. You know how I do my mock drafts my now, so no need to explain what to explain.

10th overall (1st round) DT Christian Barmore Alabama

6'5 and 310 lbs. Nasty attitude, dangerous DT who can play 1T. Maybe a bit of a reach, but, like Travis Frederick, not a reach if he works out, and I think he'd work out well for us. He's excellent in pass rush and run stopping. Watch what he does to the RB for Ohio State. The OSU RB had no chance.

44th overall (2nd round) S Richie Grant UCF

6'0 and 194 lbs. Underrated safety who has excellent ball skills. He's also very good at run stopping. He fits exactly what we'd need at S, thus solving our S problem, especially along side Wilson.

75th overall (3rd round) LB Jamin Davis Kentucky

6'4" and 234lbs. Excellent run stopping LB! He is an incredible player. He also has excellent ball skills. Look at what he does to the NC State QB. Excellent at pass rushing too. Notice how he also blocks the FG attempt by NC State.

99th overall (3rd round) OT D'Ante Smith East Carolina

6'5" and 294 lbs. Excellent in pass block. Look at the way he blocks the DE from Old Dominion. He kept his QB clean. Given T Smith's injury history of late and what happened with Collins, Smith is someone who can fill in for either depending on what happens, though he's much more natural at LT. Coincidentally, that's the spot that T Smith is. So, he'd be a ready made fit if we need someone to fill in for T Smith. Watch his run block as well against Old Dominion. Nice power block.

115th overall (4th round) CB Paulson Adebo Stanford

6'1" and 192 lbs. He's an underrated CB for Stanford who would make an excellent replacement for Awuzie. He's excellent in run stopping, and he's physical in the pass. A complete opposite of Awuzie on that front. Excellent ball skills, and excellent at fighting the WRs within 5 yards. Knocks the WRs off their routes. The more I watch him, the more I'm convinced he's the type of CB that Quinn would enjoy having on this team, and getting him in the 4th round would be quite the bargain. Mind you, Quinn once had a 4th round CB who turned out to be an absolute monster on his secondary. I'd trust the spot opposite Diggs to Adebo.

138th overall (4th round) WR Anthony Schwartz Auburn
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Uvc0mioCxA&t=24s

6'1 and 175 lbs. May the Schwartz be with us if we draft him! He also runs track for Auburn. He's lightning fast, and quite tall. He's the perfect replacement for Gallup. Additionally, he'd make an excellent KR with his speed. His 40 time was an astounding 4.26. As for this season, between Coop, Gallup, Lamb, Schwartz, and Wilson, that is quite possibly the most dangerous WR lineup in ALL of football. ALL are starting caliber WRs. ALL have different things that they do well that compliments each other. Give one of them the ball, and this offense shines. No possible way to cover all of them and, with his speed, Schwartz may actually garner more attention than anyone. Just get the ball in his hands and away he goes like a lightning bolt!

179th overall (5th round) CB Tre Brown Oklahoma
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDwaPF2AW34&t=65s

5'9" and 188 lbs. While not a tall CB, he's QUICK!!!!! He's feisty when fighting for the ball, has excellent ball skills, and is excellent at blitzing the CB. He's the quintessential definition of a slot CB. Additionally, he's a natural KR and PR as well. Consider how last year, if I recall correctly, our return specialists were Pollard (mainly for KR), Lamb (sometimes KR and PR), and Wilson. With these picks, we'd now have the choice of Lamb, Schwartz, Brown, and Wilson for returns. 3 of which with potential TD capability if a kicker dares try to kick it to them. Put two of them back for KR, and make the kicker pick his poison or kick a squib kick and pray it doesn't get to Schwartz or Brown. The second it gets into either hand, fasten your seatbelts in the stadium. Two rockets are going to go flying by on the field.

192nd overall (6th round) CB Shemar Jean-Charles Appalachian State
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcYz6Lg2z7k&t=13s

5'11 and 190 lbs. Another sleeper of a CB. you've probably read my take on him in previous mock drafts, so I won't go into too much detail here.

227th overall (6th round) DE Chris Rumph II Duke
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEJSWt8KC9s&t=42s

6'3" and 236 lbs. What he lacks in weight, he makes up for in his ability to rush the passer. Look at how he absolutely crushes the QB for Miami. He'll need to put some weight on, but he is an absolute cannon when rushing the QB. Additionally, he's solid at run stopping, so, when a RB tries to bounce it to the outside, he's no slouch at stopping this either. Given his quickness, he'd also be helpful on special teams when trying to rush punts and field goals. He could knife through the blockers causing panic allowing the wingmen to finish the job of blocking field goal attempts.

238th overall (7th round) QB Shane Buechele SMU (Formerly Texas)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3M9FIWamUYo&t=24s

6'1" and 207 lbs. Former QB at Texas who transferred to SMU. Never a bad thing to draft a QB every year to compete. Buchele would compete with Ben DiNucci for the 3rd spot on the team. The loser of the battle spends the season on the practice squad. While not a great deep passer, he is a smart player. Remains poised even under intense pass rush and throws an accurate pass. Simply put, he looks more competent than DiNucci, and he'd have a better chance at a success than DiNucci.

I hope you enjoyed this. It was fun trying a no redo no trade mock draft. Thoughts?

My only issue is not addressing cornerback early enough. There is no way that we want either Brown or Lewis starting. And we can't count on a fourth-rounder to start. I think we're wedged into having to take one in the first or second, and the value seems to be good in those rounds.

I want Barmore and if Dallas thinks his value is No. 10, I'm not going to be mad about it, but I think it's more likely that we would be able to get him in a trade down. I know that you weren't trading in his mock, but right now (based on many, many ratings out there), I can't say I'd take him at 10 over Surtain and possibly even Horn. I'd love to target him in a trade down, though, that allows us to get a corner and safety in the second round.

I like you 2-4 picks. Not a big fan of drafting a Dt with the1st pick. Don’t think he is worth it. Good job though. Thanks Furboy. It is always appreciated.

Barmore is one of two DT difference makers in the draft this year.
Adebo is my favorite later CB
Would love to add Rumph to the team he would need to get stronger but none of the edge rushers are Joey Bosa. Based on the meetings I do think they take one on day two though.
I wonder where the Cowboys have Grant ranked?

First, I have to say that I appreciate the time and effort you put into it. And the links for the players are great too. Well done.

Second, while I do think Barmore is a bit of a reach there, if he’s that much better than the rest? We could do worse. You waited longer than I would have at corner, but then got several options to fill the need.

Your list also has three of my own pet cats in Richie Grant, Jamin Davis, and Tre Brown do I have to like that! I have them listed in my morning draft post.

Overall great job and I wouldn’t be disappointed with this haul at all.

In my defence, Surtain was off the board, so my first choices were Horne, Farley (who's got a massive injury), or Barmore. The trade down offers were awful. So, Barmore was the natural choice. I'd have liked a CB in round 2, but I was not going to pass up on Grant, which left round 3 as the earliest I could go CB. However, the CB choices for the first of 2 picks weren't as good as Davis, we do need LB, so that was what led to my choice there. I have taken Adebo before with our second of 3rd round choices because I think he is a 3rd round caliber player. However, D'Ante Smith fell in my lap there. Couldn't pass up on a natural LT at that spot. Luckily, Adebo was there in round 4 where I took him. So, I'm aware of a risk waiting till round 4 for CB, but Adebo, in some camps, has a 2nd or 3rd round grade on him. Him falling to round 4 was helpful. Plus, I make up for it, I think, with 2 more sleepers at CB. Oh, and then there's Schwartz.

I know Barmore might be a reach, but given what was available, he was my best choice imo. He's still a monster at DT, so it fit. Also, Adebo is an excellent CB, and he just fell into my lap on that pick.

I admit not knowing much about Adebo but I’m going to look into his name further.

Barmore is ranked all over the place Zierlein has him ranked 12th and Jeremiah most recently has him ranked 42nd behind Levi. There's no denying his performance at the end of the season last year against really good teams. Some people called him the best player on the field.

-Many good media scouts have projected Barmore in the 40's, huge reach at 10. Think he is being pushed up cause of lack of talent at the position.
-Both Grant/Davis are being projected as 1st rd selections.
-Adebo could go as high as rd 2, but he probably comes of the board in that 75 range.

If Davis is not there and if the two first picks that I had hold, then that'd have been the spot I take CB. However, the simulator had him sitting there, so I took him.

Same thing for me. The simulator had him there so I took him. If someone has an issue with that? Go talk to the people that created the simulator.

If Davis and Smith weren't sitting where they were, Adebo would've been my pick at 75. However, I was following the picks on the simulation. I admit in my mock draft that Barmore might be a reach, but he'd be a good choice in certain situations. Given what was available where I was picking, Barmore was my best choice imo. As for Grant, I do think he'll be there at 44. If he is, we should take him.

There was a report over the weekend that Grant is rising and could be a late 1st rd pick. Barmore is a one dimensional player that this stage, in my opinion major reach at 10. Let's hope these simulators start updating these prospects.

I hope so too, but for now, if this is the way PFN is projecting, then these are the choices I'll make.
