Hello everyone and welcome to my first mock draft of 2021. Below are my picks along with a video and or stats with the players to help you all see why I selected the players.

Your Picks:

Round 1 Pick 10: Micah Parsons, ILB/OLB, Penn State (A) - We need help at LB. LVE is turning into Sean Lee with his injuries, and Jaylon Smith is Jaylon Smith. Oh, and Sean Lee may not return. Parsons provides help that we need, especially at stopping the run from the LB position. He's 6'3 and 245 lbs.

Round 2 Pick 12: Jay Tufele, DT, USC (A-) - We suck at run D, but Gallimore is a monster of a DT. Jay Tufele is as well. It'd be nice to pair Gallimore with Tufele. He's 6'3" and 315 lbs. As you see in the video, he can stop the run, and he's quick for someone his size.

Round 3 Pick 11: Israel Mukuamu, CB, South Carolina (A+) - We are likely to lose Awuzie to FA along with other CBs. Mukuamu is someone who would be nice to have on the other side of Diggs. Seeing the two of them on the other side could give us a force at CB. Mukuamu is 6'4 and 205 lbs.

Round 3 Pick 35 (COMP): Caden Sterns, FS/SS, Texas (A+) - We need help at S. Wilson has been turning into a nice find, but Xavier Woods sucks. Sterns would be a nice replacement. Sterns is 6'1 and 205 lbs.

Round 4 Pick 10: Alaric Jackson, OT, Iowa (A+) - Given the question of T Smith and the fact that La'el Collins missed last season, it'd be nice to have some good depth at OT. I think Jackson is an underrated OT. He's 6'6 and 315 lbs.

Round 4 Pick 33 (COMP): Anthony Schwartz, WR, Auburn (A+) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Uvc0mioCxA He's 6'1 and 179 lbs. When I watch this video, he looks fast. Like almost Tyreek Hill fast. What a slot weapon he'd be for us!!!

Round 5 Pick 34 (COMP): Paddy Fisher, ILB/OLB, Northwestern (A+) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7r7wjeCYmIU 6'4 and 246 lbs. He kinda reminds me a bit of Blake Martinez.

Round 6 Pick 8: Adetokunbo Ogundeji, DE/OLB, Notre Dame (A+) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuJ4PZ-j9H0 Nice depth at DE. 6'4 and 269 lbs.

Round 6 Pick 41 (COMP): Camryn Bynum, CB, California (A+) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjThom4s0gg 6'0 and 200 lbs. Can't have enough CB depth.

Round 7 Pick 10: Damar Hamlin, FS/SS, Pittsburgh (A+) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=497CUlC9mDE 6'1 and 195 lbs. Hard hitting safety. Can't have enough help there.

Hope you all like it!

Solid mock but I am weary of Parsons. Would take him in a little trade down especially if Farley is not there.

Like Tuefele, but not so much the rest of the picks, especially the ones in the secondary. Secondary is not better.

A good overall mock though despite your misguided evaluation of Gallimore.

I don't dislike Parsons but I don't want to be the team that takes him in the top 10 either.
Thats not good.

Whats your issue with Gallimore?

I thought he showed a bit as the season went on. He seemed productive in college. He looks like he WANTS to play....which is a positive in Dallas.

The good news is everyone is wrong sometimes. I hope you are on him.

This "build through draft only" organization that refuses to hire top coaches cannot afford to whiff on the 3rd rounder in a supposed legendary draft class that has probably already whiffed on the 4th and 5th choices.

I like Mukuamu as a CB option because he's tall and looks fast when I watch him. With Quinn as our DC, I see Mukuamu as someone that Quinn would like to use. As for Sterns, I think he's a good player and good value where I'd be drafting him. I see my last 2 picks as good value for where I got them.

I think both players are more day 3 picks. Muku is like many big corners, stiffed hipped and struggles with transitions. He could be a zone corner, but anything else he would struggle. Sterns reminds me of Xavier Woods, he is a liability in the run game and has questionable instincts against the pass, no thanks! Honestly if we keep Awuzie, Woods, I think they would be better then both these prospects, which isn't saying much.

Fair enough. I was sort of angling Muku as someone that Quinn may see as similar to Richard Sherman, who he coached in Seattle. In fairness about Sterns, while I like him, I get what you're saying. I was sort of taking him also because we need a S, and I don't like many of the options in the draft at S. That's an area that I think the Cowboys need to address in FA, but I think Sterns is possibly the best S in the draft.

I’m all for parsons at 10. If they did trade back and expect him to be there he definitely won’t be. Giants will scoop him and end up like Lawrence Taylor with them LOL

I can see that, but I can also see the criticism of Parsons. For me, if we miss him, then Zaven Collins is a nice alternative.

Agreed but if he’s there at 10 you have to take him. I still don’t think he falls to 10. He was a top 5 pick before the 2020 college season. And even with him opting out a lot of rankings still have him top 5

Perhaps, but I'd certainly listen to trade down options. We do need LB, but he's not the only 1st round LB.

Safety is very top heavy for that single high position we truly need. I see just 4 (Moehrig, Grant, Washington, Cisco) that could make a difference, after them, probably not that much better then a Xavier Woods or a similar fa. With the lack of depth, it would be better served signing a decent fa for the position, but we know that isn't the route they usually take.

I do like Grant, however, I think the problem is that may force us to use a 2nd which we will need to have a chance at drafting Tufele who, paired with Gallimore, could really give us a dangerous dline. I really want Jerry to sign someone like Simmons or John Johnson. There are a lot of good safeties that'll be available in FA. I get that Jerry doesn't like spending much on FA, so I would really rather prefer him to use what he'd have signed the others with on one of the FAs for S that we need. It'd come out to about the same cost, but better value.
