Dallas knows what it has with Dak. Losing that future first rounder was a very foolish move. He will get older, more expensive, and more injury prone. Thats the reality.
That pick was a very strong leveraging chip for Arch Manning. Also, He is not a Johnny Manziel that if or (when) he busts he will lose attention and bring the same degree of negative press.
You have a guy (in arch) with 2 of his Uncles that had very high success in this league. You also get him on a rookie contract and you get a bigger boost than Dak on seats and profitability.
If he busts, you are still getting good ticket sales and marketing for longer due to the "prestige of his name" and you get better draft picks anyway if he completely busts. Fans will also stay with him longer just for the name.
The move for Quinnen Williams was very illogical. Bonehead even.
Basically parallels Randy Moss and Greg Ellis here.
