QB
Future: Absolutely nothing. But the #4 pick can address that.
Present: Romo is still an elite QB but doesn't have much time left.
Past:

RB
Future: Also nothing here. We parted ways with all our young-ish talent.
Present: McFadden had a quietly solid season and Turbin could be a solid backup.
Past:

WR
Future: Outside of Dez, there's not much strong, young talent.
Present: Dez is still elite and there are some decent options but nobody special.
Past:

TE
Future: A question mark in Escobar. Could he fill Witten's shoes or is another high draft pick in store?
Present: This position is becoming a liability.
Past: Looks like Witten may be getting in the way more than he's helping.

OL
Future: The brightest future for possibly any positional group in the entire NFL.
Present: Already one of the best OLs in the NFL and still very young.
Past: Free really isn't providing anything. It's time to see what we have in Chaz Green.

K
Future: Hopefully Bailey keeps it together unlike Nick Folk.
Present: Money, money, money.
Past:

DEFENSE

DE
Future: Potential to have a dynamic duo in Gregory and Lawrence.
Present: Should be set if we retain Hardy. Otherwise, we'll need to hope Gregory steps up.
Past: Mincey was a good find but we're at the point where we might need to find some new Minceys.

3-DT
Future: Could have a solid 1-2 punch in T. Crawford/Irving for years to come.
Present: Already pretty solid with a lot of DEs who play the position at times also.
Past:

1-DT
Future: Thought this deserved its own section since the future is very bleak.
Present: If you thought the future was bleak, close your eyes.
Past: The Golden Cock went limp a long time ago.

LB
Future: No young elite talent. Hitchens could take over one spot but his ceiling is low. Some elite talent in this draft class though.
Present: Could be a solid unit for another season or two if Lee stays healthy. Also depends on what we do with RoMc.
Past: He's still very talented but we need to start preparing for life without Lee.

CB
Future: B. Jones is really the only thing this unit has going for it. And he might not even be a CB.
Present: Could be decent with the return of Scandrick. Also depends on what we do with Claiborne.
Past: Feels like Carr's time ran out a long time ago.

S
Future: Wilcox doesn't look like the answer. B. Jones has potential to solve our FS issues.
Present: Probably the worst unit on the team. Needs immediate addressing.
Past: Church is a great team guy but not much of a football guy.

P
Future: We have bigger problems than finding our punter of the future.
Present: C. Jones might have actually turned into a solid NFL punter.
Past:

QB
Future: Absolutely nothing. But the #4 pick can address that.
Present: Romo is still an elite QB but doesn't have much time left.
Past:
Must draft a QB in 1st 2 rounds, nothing else matters until they get a future QB in place

RB
Future: Also nothing here. We parted ways with all our young-ish talent.
Present: McFadden had a quietly solid season and Turbin could be a solid backup. keep both for depth
Past:
Same for a bell cow RB, get one in 1st 2 rounds

WR
Future: Outside of Dez, there's not much strong, young talent.
Present: Dez is still elite and there are some decent options but nobody special.
Past:
Would like a stud WR opposite of Dez, but I think they will be content with what they have, unless someone falls to them. I can see a WR in the later rounds though

TE
Future: A question mark in Escobar. Could he fill Witten's shoes or is another high draft pick in store? I can see a draft pick, but hopefully in round 4 or 5 or later
Present: This position is becoming a liability.
Past: Looks like Witten may be getting in the way more than he's helping. Agree for the most part
Hanna as a FA becomes more important now

OL
Future: The brightest future for possibly any positional group in the entire NFL.
Present: Already one of the best OLs in the NFL and still very young.
Past: Free really isn't providing anything. It's time to see what we have in Chaz Green. Yes, but they may keep him as a OG for backup if Leary leaves
Agree with all of this, and I can see drafting a OT if there too, just wouldn't put it past them

K
Future: Hopefully Bailey keeps it together unlike Nick Folk.
Present: Money, money, money.
Past:
Bailey is our best consistent player, and Jones had a solid year punting

DEFENSE

DE
Future: Potential to have a dynamic duo in Gregory and Lawrence.
Present: Should be set if we retain Hardy. Otherwise, we'll need to hope Gregory steps up.
Past: Mincey was a good find but we're at the point where we might need to find some new Minceys.
Need to sign Hardy, if not, they will sign Mincey, and I don't think we need that. If Hardy is not signed, maybe they should draft Bosa. I do not want to rely on the development of Lawrence and Gregory alone with Mincey as depth. That is a huge step back

3-DT
Future: Could have a solid 1-2 punch in T. Crawford/Irving for years to come. I like Irving, but still need some depth

He is a FA, hope he moves on, he is a progress stopper even at his age
They better be bringing in a lot of FA's as well as drafting too

Yes, need to look at some depth and future starters, not just depth / ST's types.

CB
Future: B. Jones is really the only thing this unit has going for it. And he might not even be a CB.
Present: Could be decent with the return of Scandrick. Also depends on what we do with Claiborne.
Past: Feels like Carr's time ran out a long time ago.
What was looked to be finally solidified going into last year, is now one of the biggest needs again. Jones postioning will determine this, or FA's and the draft will determine his position. Sounds like a bit of a luxury, but it really isn't as we need a lot of help.

S
Future: Wilcox doesn't look like the answer. B. Jones has potential to solve our FS issues.
Present: Probably the worst unit on the team. Needs immediate addressing.
Past: Church is a great team guy but not much of a football guy.
Again, this depends on Jones. If at FS, Wilcox can play a true SS, Church for depth. But still address it with a FA / draft.

P
Future: We have bigger problems than finding our punter of the future. yes
Present: C. Jones might have actually turned into a solid NFL punter. yes
Past:

good assessment
