I post this for you out of towners ...

I'm from Dallas, but for the first time I drove by the new stadium a few days ago. Wow, pictures can't do it justice.

Reliant Stadium is the second biggest NFL stadium I read, but it's 10-15 percent smaller than Jerry's palace.

The new place is right on the street ... in a working-class neighborhood with few multi-level structures ... maybe that's why it stands out so much. ..

It's colossal and about takes your breath away. I was so interested I looked up the specs .. it's 292 feet tall ... and goes about a quarter mile in length. ... imagine a 30-story building six blocks long, that's the new stadium.

The field is 50 feet underground, so if you have first row seats, you're looking up at a 35-story roof ..

It's going to be the world's largest enclosed single space/room (when the roof is closed, that is ...) ... this fact accd. to the Cowboys site ...

The impressive and expansive west end-zone plaza opens up on Collins St., a four or six(?)-lane street, kind of a thoroughfare for Arlington .... everyone going past will rubberneck gazing at the thing ... an awesome sight.

Srry I'm bragging as if I was Jerry ... but it's freaking amazing. A Taj Mahal amongst the muffler shops and Taco Bells in that part of Arlington ... hey I like Arlington ... it's not a tawdry scene ... it's a working class, but clean, neighborhood ..

You out of town fans should buy tickets next year, a destination, just to see the thing ...

Sorry if I'm obvious-man and everyone has already seen it, I write this post for the shut-ins like me ..

I still haven't gotten a chance to drive by it and I live maybe 30-40 minutes from there. I'm such a slacker. I'm going to do my best to get to a game next year and check it out.

From like May or June.

Mega structure, very impressive analysis.

I always felt like it was built in a hole, even as big as it is it looks low from certain angles...

I drive by it about once every 3 months and it is awesome...........

I think at noon every day everyone should all face the direction of the stadium wherever you may be and fall to our knees and worship......

It dwarfs the Rangers Ballpark. What a happaning area that will be with the Cowboys, Rangers and Six Flags all in the same place.

I had the opportunity to see it last December.

I'm saving up for three things next year. Motorcycle parts, a trip to eastern europe, and a trip to Dallas for a game in the new stadium. It WILL happen.

I went to the Rangers/Angels games over the weekend and noticed how much progress had been made since I was last @ the temple in July. They now have the big screen on the outside of the stadium mounted. Its covered up of course.

Given the importance of the stadium it should have been on the highest spot in the Metroplex. I'm not from DFW, so where is that high spot?

Umm...holy shnikees...looks like they're assembling the 60 yard HD screen in that second link. They don't have words to describe how ridiculously big that thing is.

I think I'd pay them to be a part of one of those construction crews.
I applied for a job with them before ground breaking. I would have loved to be part of that.

they are.. They just started assembling the frame of what will hold the video board.

I put up this weeks episode of special edition, there is a thread somehwere, stephen jones talked about how they started installing all the seats last week and this week they are working on the video boards. The thing weighs 1 million pounds!!

If it's only a 30 minute drive, you should make the drive. It's worth it. I drive by Texas Stadium twice a day, going to, and from work, and it looks miniscule compared to the new stadium. I've been by there multiple times, and have taken a number of pictures, and as stated, the pictures don't do it justice.

I can't wait to attend a game there. This place is going to be something special.
