Players already at Valley Ranch

The Cowboys' off-season workouts don't officially begin until Monday, but players already are at Valley Ranch working out. Wade Phillips said 27 players were at the facility last week.

I don't understand why players wouldn't work there. It's free (yea I know they make millinos) and they give you everything. Plus most of them should live in the area anyways. Plus all the chemistry benefits and bonding yadda yadda. It just doesn't make sense that players would go other places to train.

I would imagine the reason is that a lot of those guys don't actually continue to live in the area when the offseason begins. They probably all spread out and go back to their home areas for time with friends and family.

That would be my guess as to why they don't use it every day from the time offseason starts until the official time that the new season, so to speak, starts.

The offseason is too long, im already going nuts and its not even the draft.

I do wish we were a lot closer to the draft. I'm ready for it to take the place of this long down time that way we can at least get a new batch of threads praising and complaining about what we did and didn't do in the draft to replace the "we need to sign X Superstar FA now" threads.
