The Third Receiver
It appears as if the Cowboys are kicking around using a running back as a slot receiver. Marion Barber and Felix Jones are both good receiving running backs, so don't be shocked if at least a few times Barber and Jones line up as receivers on Sunday.
That doesn't mean they are going to be the next Jerry Rice, but it would give the Cowboys an option with more proven hands than perhaps a Danny Amendola or Mike Jefferson, both of whom they would have to pull off the practice squad.

Kevin Burnett Update
Cowboys linebacker Kevin Burnett said he is a "maybe" for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Take "maybe" to most likely mean "probably".

Barber talks!!
Cowboys Pro Bowl running back Marion Barber, ready to begin in his first year as starter, talked to the media in the locker room on Thursday. Barely and he said nothing really. We've said it tons of times before, Marion avoids the cameras and would rather never having to do another interview.
Here's some of his comments during a very brief interview.....
On season: "We're all ready and we've just been waiting on this day to come."
On offense: "I love the offense. Coach Garrett puts people in position to make plays."

Stanback has Crayton convinced
There may not be as much moving around with tight end Jason Witten as it was first thought with the injuries to the wide receivers. Third receiver Isaiah Stanback has practiced well since taking over the role with Sam Hurd and Miles Austin out.
Patrick Crayton fully believes Stanback is not bothered by the injury left shoulder and will be ready for his role as third receiver. Stanback will be wearing a shoulder harness for support all season.

Holland picking up playbookNew guard Montrae Holland may not be ready to start, but he is ready to play. Holland said he will be active and backup both guard spots on Sunday against Cleveland. Holland said earlier in the week he wouldn't be ready until he knew the playbook....and that likely was not going to be this week.
Holland is expected to eventually move to starter, possibly next week against Philadelphia. For now, Cory Procter is the starter.
