Linebacker Bradie James has guaranteed the Cowboys first playoff victory since 1996 -- despite the fact the Cowboys don't have an opponent yet. So he's guaranteeing victory against either Washington, Tampa Bay or the New York Giants.

"We are going to win our first playoff game and I'm looking forward to doing that,'' James said. "That's what I am going to go out there and get done and try my best.''

James then backed off the guarantee with, "Well, I have to guarantee something around here in my locker room, but I'm not guaranteeing that. I can guarantee one thing -- the sun will rise in the east.''

I don't get it. Where is the quote of him guaranteeing a playoff win? He just says they will win. He is not guaranteeing they will win. It's just his opinion.

a guarantee is a statement, which is what Bradie made

Reading is fundamental, Dallas. Alot of people seemed to skip over the part about guaranteeing the sun rising in the east.

It's not a guarantee to me, either.
