The Texans play in a tough division -- the one owned by Peyton Manning -- but they have their best team this year. Against the Cowboys tonight, Texans coach Gary Kubiak told Houston media he would probably play his starters three quarters.

Wade Phillips did not specify how much starters would play, but indicated it would be less. Plus Phillips said the Cowboys are aware that they play the Texans in week 3 of the regular season and as a result, they won't be showing Houston too many formations or plays.

Kubiak said he is treating this largely like a regular season game, so it looks like winning is more of a priority for the Texans than the Cowboys, who still want to look at backups to determine if they can compete.

From an ESPN blog

“I don’t know what they’re going to do, but we’re not going to show everything that we’re going to do against them that we think we can gain an advantage on them,” Phillips said. “Matchups are really what we’re talking about. If we can gain matchup advantages during a regular season game, that’s what we’ll do, more so than a preseason game.”

Me? I'd blitz the crap out of them. Corner blitzes, safeties blitzes ... I'd even bring Buehler.

Give them something to think about for the next time we play.

I like your thinking in a way, but I don't exactly want to sit back and not blitz Houston in week 3.

We need the ball to come out quick otherwise Andre can do some damage.
