Cowboys face QB they wanted in draft

Cowboys fans worried about a future successor for Tony Romo will get a chance to watch one that got away Thursday. USC product John David Booty will get plenty of time Thursday for the Vikings against the Cowboys.

The Cowboys were targeting Booty in the 5th round but the Vikings traded up and took him off the board with the second pick of that round. Dallas also traded up in the 5th round to take CB Orlando Scandrick eight picks later. That actually may prove to be one of their best draft day moves. Scandrick is giving signs that he could be a steal for where he was taken. He is physcial, plays aggressive and has a swagger.

+1.

Solid CB for the future, or Jessica Alba?... Hmmmmmm.

Hey, I'm not a traitor... if Pacman and Jenkins pan out, we won't really need Scandrick all that much. :)

I was not impressed with Booty at USC, so I don't see it as that big of a loss. Romo should be around for at least 5 years. Dallas has plenty of opportunity to find a young developmental QB and hopefully they do find one.
