Gurode won't play against Carolina
Starting center Andre Gurode won't play against Carolina Saturday because of a knee injury. Backup safety Patrick Watkins won't play either because of an ankle injury.

Terry Glenn's status for Saturday is still unknown, but he likely won't make his debut this week.

Tribute to Roy
There was a visible tribute to suspended safety Roy Williams on the practice field Thursday morning. Pro Bowl free safety Ken Hamlin was wearing Roy's No. 31 jersey for the workout.

Other practice notables:

Quarterback Tony Romo (bruised right thumb) seemed to be fine throwing an assortment of passes. .... Receiver Terry Glenn was wearing a helmet and running routes early in practice, but later took it off and stood to the side. Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said they would watch Glenn today and determine whether he will play at Carolina.

Ken Ham is cooler in my book for doing that. Shows (even more so) that we have a tight nit group who have eachothers backs

With all the uncertainty on Glenn, he should just wait an extra 8 days against Washington. You can tell him being healthy for the playoffs is on thin ice with the "Going to start against Carolina" turning into "likely wont".

Contradiction between writers.

He should wear #31 during the game, therefore maybe us fans can see #31 making positvie plays again

I think Glenn is just getting into game shape. I say dress him and play him a few plays just so he gets on the field.

Hamlin scores more points in my book.

I'm still sticking to my story that Hamlin gets re-signed after this season.

As much as I want to see Glenn back, it would probably be smart to give him one more week of practice before he plays to get his conditioning up. Because if he plays next week he'll then have the following week off which would be good during our bye.

Cute. We'll see who the joke is on when we struggle to stop the run on Saturday.

Agreed, but I don't think Carolina is a good game to judge it on. They are horrible.

I say Glenn plays a couple of plays, don't underestimate how important this game is, and how long it really takes to get timing back, he is also a great decoy, just putting him out there would mess with the coverage...

WR Terry Glenn will not make the trip to Charlotte for Saturday night's game against the Panthers.
He was at practice today, but was largely inactive for the portion open to the media. Before practice, coach Wade Phillips said that the team would make its determination based on what it saw at the workout, and that evidently wasn't enough to warrant Glenn playing in the game.
Phillips has said that he wouldn't hesitate to put Glenn in playoff games without regular season action.
