Does he expect him to break brick walls each time he runs? Of course the scheme has to be good in order for him to have success. I'm not into Barry Sanders type of running.

“He’s one of the best backs in the league, I’m not going to take anything away from him, but I think it was more the scheme,” defensive end N.D. Kalu said. “They kept beating us with the draw.
Yeah, real "dis" there.

So does that mean the Houston defense are full of a bunch of morons? Because that is essentially what his statement implies.

same scheme insert julius jones and he runs for less than 20, sometimes how a back fits a scheme is just as important as the scheme itself

I love barber, if that kid had the jets julius had he would be unreal

Houston's Kalu disses Barber

Houston defensive end N.D. Kalu and his defensive mates were continually gashed by Cowboys running back Marion Barber in Friday night's loss. Barber had plenty of room to run, but Kalu believes it was more about the Cowboys scheme than the back. Barber let the scheme carry his Pro Bowl self to 75 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown. - Rick Herrin

Translation: It wasn't us that sucked, they just have a good scheme that we couldn't figure out.

Guess the "scheme" was handing Marion the ball & watching him trample jabrones. :lmao:

He also said Barber is one of the best backs in the league.

That link suggests that the Texans "pressured Tony Romo at times".....

um......no they didn't.

Sad sacks
The Texans’ first-team defense went another preseason game without recording a sack. They pressured Tony Romo at times, but were unable to rattle the Cowboys starter.
I'm guessing Kalu is blaming that on scheme also.

The only time they got pressure was on the int.

And if Marion Barber would just stand there, it'd have been a lot easier to tackle him (maybe) LOL

Sour grapes and nothing more. Rather it was the scheme, or more Barber, doesn't matter. They simply couldn't stop him and that's what is important to me.
