Live: Day 3 (major drama)

One of the biggest moments of the training camp just unfolding in 1-on-1 receiver-defensive back drills. Terrell Owens matched up with Adam Jones and Jones was hyping the crowd before the matchup. Richard Bartel was supposed to be the QB on the play, but deferred to Tony Romo.
All I can say is, don't bait T.O. He blew away Jones with a double move and finished with a would-be touchdown on a perfect pass from Romo. Owens slammed the ball down after reaching the end zone and waved his arms to the crowd and put his hand to his ear waiting more crowd reaction. Great stuff.
This battle will rage the whole training camp. Jones want to show off against Owens.

Both of these guys are going to make each other better. But, Adam Jones should know better than to try and out play T.O....! But, I like Jone's attitude so far because he wants to play against the best.

:laugh2:

AJ will beat TO sometimes and sometimes TO will beat him. Romo & TO together can beat any defender.

Is it only me who remembers those battles back in the 90s between Irvin & Dallas Green (Skins) & Irvin & Deion (Atlanta & SF). In the end it always came down to Aikman's ability to put the ball in exactly the right spot for Irvin to catch it; just like it comes down to Romo putting the ball in exactly the right place for TO to catch it.

We are going to have some wonderful battles between TO & AJ which will only make both better & it will also put Romo on his mettle as well. It was great to hear that Romo stepped in over Bartel to take this matchup to a new level. Wonder when AJ finally realized the ball was thrown by Romo not Bartel.

I get your point and it's a damn good one but I have to tell you, the above highlighted, was a MISMATCH everytime. Irvin ate Greens lunch regularly. Again, I did get your point tho:)

This is the type of competition, spirit, hard work, and yes cockiness I want to see in this years TC. These guys know they let it slip away last year and they're hungry. This team is special and talented. I luv it!!!:starspin

the drama is coming. That idiot joe simpson was at camp today and said jessica is coming this week and she will be attending every game.

A little bit of me just died. Can this story just go away.

With HBO showcasing training camp? It won't likely go away anytime soon.

I never got a chance to REALLY see Darrell Green playing. How'd he do against Irvin?

How did Deion do against Irvin?

Don't scare me like that again.

What?

It's not like he put exclamation points in the thread title.

(clarification: this is a vague reference to a very minor earlier debate on the board, but I couldn't resist)

Irvin ate Greens lunch regularly. It was a total mismatch. Irvin was too big, too strong, and too physical. He would get Green on his hip and keep him there...

As for Deion, it was a little more evenly matched but Irvin ate him up too, especially in the playoff game we lost in Frisco. Oh yeah, Deion definately got away with a PI that game too.
