River Ridge Fields are coming apart
The Cowboys have already done some damage to the two River Ridge Fields here in Oxnard that were recently sodded. There are several noticeable considerable divots in the soft fields. It could have contributed to Terence Newman's leg not holding up when he took a knee to his other groin. His other knee slid on the soft turf and he suffered a strained groin.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, however, is not concerned despite the field's condition after just six practices.
"Not worried at all," Jones said. "This is the best shape it's ever been. I understand it has some issues but that's what you are dealing with when you put one down."
