Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he was happy with the way ticket sales were moving for the upcoming season. That might have been an understatement, which is hard for him to do.

All remaining single-game tickets to the general public went on sale at 10 a.m. today. According to the Cowboys, there are a very limited number of seats available for each of the Cowboys home games.

In addition to the usual NFC East opponents such as the Giants, Eagles and Commanders, the Cowboys have home games against St. Louis, New England, Minnesota, New York Jets and Green Bay.

The tickets on sale today will only be available to fans in the five-state region of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico during the first 24 hours. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 214-953-1500 or 972-647-5700 and at the Texas Stadium box office located at Gate 10.

A new coach and the yearly hype of a potential Super Bowl run is always good for ticket sales.

Have the Cowboys always done this (first sales limited to the 5 states)?

Seems like a good idea. Maybe it helps to keep out some of the opposing fans.

I would think that's the only reason Cowboys have that rule. It's a shame cause there's so many Cowboy fans around the country.
