Wade's World: Monday edition
Nuggets today from Wade Phillips' press conference...

* Started by saying punt coverage was poor. Take note of this. Wade rarely starts with knocking anything.

* Impressed with Felix Jones.

* Thought OLB Erik Walden looked better in the game than he had in practice.

* Highlighted the play of rookie corners Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick.

* Believes Martellus Bennett's personal issue he has been dealing with is over.

* OLB Anthony Spencer missed practice with a bruised knee that he injured against San Diego. He experienced some swelling and was held out.

* Backup QB Brad Johnson will see more time with the starters next game in an effort to keep him from having to scramble.

* Dave Campo told Wade before the game that Pacman would struggle.

* Said the Cowboys final practice on Tuesday will be an "hour and something." The team travels to Denver after practice. Wade wouldn't call it a walkthrough.

* Was pleased with Bobby Carpenter's effort and said he was around the ball and that his hard work is paying off. Is that what you fans thought?

Why don't we just get the backup O-linemen to play better?

Because if Brad has to play, it's doubtful that the entire OL will sit shiva with Tony on the sidelines.

This is exactly who he should get real game time with, because that's the reality of the possible scenario.

Makes a lot of sense that Brad Johnson would look better if he is surrounded by the first team just like Romo gets--w/o TO though. God knows that even Romo would have his trouble with that mess of a 2nd string--although got to admit he probably would love playing with Felix & Miles.
