Then what the heck is your point dude? How does what Witten is saying compare to Crayton? The point, seems like you entirely missed is, that if you talk to Media, make sure you be careful in what you say.

Witten clearly knows what to say and never has anything negative to say, about teammates etc. But Crayton has put his foot in his mouth way too many times. THere is a huge difference.

my point DUDE...is clearly stated in my post....i find it funny that people were saying our players need to shut up...but when witten speaks nobody seems to mind.
if you dont find that funny its okay....

maybe we find it refreshing that a player is finally talking with some class and respect for team mates and the team...instead of the same old side taking finger pointing high school crap most have been producing

The goofs in the media were saying that Barber 'had changed' due to Owens' influence and that Witten was hoping Owens would be released. I think the reality is that Witten wanted Owens on the team, but will move on without him and Barber never really changed, he just wasn't afraid to say he liked Owens as a teammate and many in the media didn't want to hear that, thus the 'he's changed' crap.

I think we need more/better leadership from the QB position and the secondary. Witten, Barber and Ware I have never been worried about, but they are not really vocal leaders either. I think in football you do need some vocal leaders because of the nature of the sport.

Romo with 3 All Pro's: Witten, TO and Roy and he couldnt get it done in December. No with 2 left and JG still calling delayed draws, I am not optimistic.

You mean Jason Garrett may actually find a place for Felix in our offense?

Actually it should be; TO, with All Pros, Barber, Witten, Romo, and Roy couldn't get off the line of scrimmage, being manhandled by the likes of Ralph Brown and Lido Shepard!

All three years TO was heere, he failed to produce in the final month of the season. Good riddance to that loser.

Furthermore, Gurode, with all pros Flo, Bigg and Witten, folded like a lawn chair at the end of the season, not being able to block on those delayed draws, to open up the passing game!

wait a minute....where are all the posters who just yesterday in a Crayton
thread were screaming " our players just need to shut-up" ????

now i like Witten...always have. thats not my point.

just find it funny that so many were telling our players to shut up but not so much in this instance.
That's because Witten is beloved by the Cowboys' faithful...he can do no wrong! Crayton, OTOH, is perceived as TO Jr. who dropped a potential playoff winning pass & "quit" on another one...no matter what comes out of his mouth, he'll be hated on by the masses...unless he atones for his prior missteps by helping us win in the postseason!
*this isn't MY perception of them, just my opinion of other Zoners by reading various posts on here. Personally, like like them both!*

And this is why Witten is my favorite Cowboy.

Professional on, and off the field. Says the right things, does the right things.
