Just CHILL: Bowen plans to sign tender this week

Clarence Hill

Defensive end Stephen Bowen said he plans to sign his restricted free agent tender of $1.759 million this week.

Bowen, who received the second round tender offer, has been a full participant in the off season program, which began last week.

He knows he will be back with the Cowboys next year as he says teams aren't signing restricted free agents to offer sheets. So he figured he might as well as get it out of the way and sign his tender.

Bowen has been a largely a backup the past two seasons, mostly as a nickel pass rusher. The Cowboys have high hopes for him and are looking for him to get more playing time in 2010, possibly even push for a starting job.

check on your boy Ogletree, he seems to be living the Hollywood life with Miles as well. lol, under contract and not at the facility or am I wrong? There I could see a problem, a player that is unproven and raw with good skills + being under contract and not working out with the team. but Miles & Sensabaugh I am totally ok with just wish Miles wasn't being all Hollywood

Hmm, and didn't Jerry say something about how Ogletree needs to work hard in the offseason and shouldn't assume he has a place on the team?

Yeah, Jerry loves the kid.. Figured he would be busting his butt working out at the facility, not saying he isn't but I took some detective skills from Mr. Fanatic and read up on twitter that he has been hanging with Miles in LA

Just because Austin is in LA doesn't mean he's "going hollywood." And even if he is, it's not like there are a lot more clubs in LA than Dallas. Maybe he is, but in his Tweets, he's consistently talking about getting in his workouts before he heads out. And I don't question his work ethic or his off-season preparation. And if Ogletree's with him, I'm not worried.

That said, I get the point.

Im not one of those people who think players lives should be football 24/7 and i had no problem with tony going to cabo lol,

HOWEVER!

I do wish that everything would be perfect and everyone would be there working harder than ever before. Now i know this would never happen but hey a man can dream.

I really like Bowen.

Thought this dude was garbo a few years ago but he really impressed me last season.

Dude.

I said put me on ignore.

Not do what I do.

:laugh2:

It actually does take some form of skill to unjumble that twitter mess. It's not so bad with 1 or 2 tweets but god does it look awful with many.

Two days ago this Roy cat was bashing me for using Twitter, lol.

Now he's been sitting behind his computer for two days and comes up with a maybe situation on Kevin Ogletree.

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

I am working on clarifying. But I really hope Ogletree wasn't in L.A. just so this guy looks even more silly.

And to think many wanted to cut him to keep Marcus Dixon on the roster...
