The Cowboys seemingly spared no expense in building the new $1.15 Cowboys Stadium. And they get much credit for the getting the facility up and running for today's inaugural event _ the George Strait concert featuring Reba McIntyre.
From all initial reports, the stadium is receiving rave reviews from concession workers who began arriving before noon in preparation for the 5 p.m. concert.
However, there is at least one minor glitch to report. There are no straws for the drinks. The Cowboys went over every detail, perfecting the mega pixels or giant high definition video screen. But they forgot the straws.
It's a nit pick _ but one fans will certainly notice when they purchase the $6 soft drinks.
Of course, Jerry Jones doesn't have to look far to access blame. Jones is a part owner of Legends Hospitality, which manages the concessions at Cowboys Stadium.

Traffic wasn't as bad as I thought. Parking wasn't as bad as I thought. And the inside of the stadium is pretty good too.
It's a few hours before the first song is played and as I pulled up I saw a few construction workers leaving with their hard hats on, so I'm figuring they just put some finishing touches on something.
The club level has a Ghostbar feel to it like at the W in Dallas. And there's glass everywhere. I would hate to be the person responsible for cleaning that all the time.
I'm sure as it gets closer to concert time the traffic will increase and the parking will become worse so leave the house early if you're coming. There are plenty of people milling outside the stadium taking pictures of the Cowboys' new home and some are tailgating too.
I might go with the jalapeno sausage sandwich for dinner. I think it was less than $10 but I'm not sure.
