I will say again what i said Monday. Dallas is struggling in how to use 3 backs. Do you let 1 guy get in a rythm like MOST backs say they really need to be effective? Or do you sub in and out to keep them "fresh?"

What's it going to be then, eh?

I believe they just don't have confidence in the health of either Barber or Jones, despite the public face that they do.

Peete has had this kind of rotation before, so I don't think it is something confounding for him.

When they are blitzing like crazy, the solution isn't always to rely on perfect execution to burn them with a big play in the air, especially in longer developing plays. You can pick and choose those spots. Effective chunks of yardage in the teeth of a blitz will cause it to die down. Shorter passes, quick hitting runs might not be sexy, but they can be effective and also borrow time while giving the defense something to think about. A defense that is pinning their ears back isn't going to stop until there is a reason to. The Packers were a pent-up team that was frustrated after not blitzing much most of the season and they came into this game with the intent to pressure. Early on, we ran fairly well with Barber, but I don't think Garrett's gameplan was changed by the flow of the football game nearly as much as he is stating. I believe he intended to beat the blitz with big plays--confidence crushers. I don't believe he had any intention of trying to go toe-to-toe with them.

Passing more and especially setting yourself up in the shotgun isn't going to do much to change the defensive posture. If throwing was the best way to beat Green Bay, fine. There are better ways to do it than to be so obvious about it. Garrett just tends to get impatient and believes strongly in explosive plays. Most of the time, that creates a higher degree of difficulty to execute them. If it works, great. If not, we will have more games like this until Garrett adjusts or we simply get the perfect execution he appears to crave.

They can be they can also net you the neg yards and short yards we were getting when attempting runs. In the meantime we have some drops and fumble on open plays that killed drives. I think had we been able to get some 1st down we could have gotten into a better flow and better situations but we blew those opportunities.

I do think had Dallas took advantage of the missed opportunities the Packers would have been forced to back off but since we could not finish the play off there was no need to.

I would like to see the offense get to the line of scrimmage a little earlier. If they get to the line at around the 12 second mark that should allow Romo a little more time.Sometimes it seems he "kills" a play a little to early, the slightest adjustment by the defense will cause him to "kill" a play.I'm just thinking that sometimes to defense "fools" the offense at the line, which causes them to audible out of the first call.I also would be interested to know what percentage of plays were either run or pass after the "kill" call.If the offense is having problems identifying the defensive keys it is on the staff and the players to fix the problem, not one or the other.

Hopefully the running game gets back up to speed again soon, I saw some promise in that game. As others have said Barber looks more like himself lately and hopefully by next week he'll be back to 100%.

Choice is looking very good out there and once he improves on the blitz pickup he'll probably be our best RB, but Felix Jones is looking more like Julius Jones and we need him healthy to add that extra homerun threat.
