Don't expect much to come of the Cowboys this week because there is no one around. The scouts are criss crossing the country going to various pro days at colleges while the coaching staff is taking the week off for spring break.

It's one of the family friendly doctrines of the Wade Phillips' regime. I went to the Cowboys headquarters today and its a virtual ghost town in the coaches offices. The doors were locked up tight as coaches are taking the week off to be with the families.

Obviously the coaches don't need to be around for the Cowboys to make a free agent signing. However, it's highly unlikely they would make a move without them around to give some input.

Great. We win one playoff game, and suddenly we're all happy and satisfied enough to take vacations?

Romo took a vacation once. He went to Cabo.

This team is doomed so long as Jerry runs this circus.

I would say the coaches have had all the input needed when discussing possible free agents. I'm sure they've had meetings and Id'd the guys they would be interested in.

of course the coaches have....this is JUST a way for the Dallas media to rant about how Jerry does things on his own if a free agent is signed during a window where the coaches are on vacation

so we would have an FA in and then, at that point, ask the coaches about the guy?

yes, that is what teams do. No way you ask for a little film analysis before the player arrives.

Wade and/or Red if it is an offensive player might want to talk the the player a bit ... but those guys likely aren't really expecting a true Spring Break thing

How about if we like a free agent we invite them to a meeting in Cabo, so they can take in the sights of Wade sun bathing. ( or his daughter :) haha)

Surely that will land them!

I'm going to take your mother out for a delightful seafood dinner, and never call her again.

The coaches don't need to be there to evaluate and re-sign Greg Ellis. ;)
