Just CHILL: Bradie James says Cowboys must win the upcoming football double header and other Cowboys tidbits

Just CHILL: Bradie James says this is the beginning of a football double header and other Cowboys tidbits from Thursday

--LB Bradie James normally subscribes to the one game at a time theory. But with the Cowboys facing Commanders on Sunday and the Raiders four days later on Thanksgiving, he said he looking at both games together. He called it football double header. He said the Cowboys are focused on sweeping both games so they can get the Green Bay loss out of their minds and get back on a roll before crucial December stretch. They want to be 8-3 heading into the Dec. 6 showdown at the New York Giants.

--Kicker David Buehler plans to kick off on Sunday's despite a fractured right picky toe. After missing Wednesday practice Buehler said he will give it a go in practice today to test himself for Sunday. He plans to tape his toes together to hopefully reduce the pain. Buehler said it bothers him when he runs and plants but said he will work through it. If he can't kick, Nick Folk will handle field goals and kick offs.

--RB Felix Jones had runs of at least 11 yards or longer in each of the first five games he played this year. The last two weeks his longest runs have been four yards. Running back coach Skip Peete says its more of a product of team's keying on Jones that him being slowed by the sprained knee that sidelined him for two games earlier in the year.

--SS Gerald Sensabaugh will handle the calls in the secondary in place of the injured Ken Hamlin. Normally the free safety makes the calls but with the inexperienced Alan Ball replacing Hamlin in the starting role, Sensabaugh will serve as the quarterback of the secondary.

--FS Ken Hamlin is slated to be out two to four weeks with a sprained ankle. According to the Cowboys trainers, it will more closer to four weeks than two weeks. So don't look for Hamlin back in the lineup until the Chargers game on Dec. 13 at the earliest.

--LB DeMarcus Ware is a good bet to have a big day against the Commanders. He has had a sack in six straight games against the Commanders dating back to 2006. He is tied for the longest active sack streak in the NFL against one opponent. Chike Okeafor had six straight games with a sack against the Cardinals when he was with the Cardinals. Okeafor now plays for the Cardinals so Ware will be all alone if he gets another on Sunday.

:lmao2: Amazing, isn't it? I wonder what's D-Ware's streak against Dallas?! ;) Methinks Mr Hill needs a new proofreader...maybe he would've noticed he typed in Cardinals where Seahawks should have been!!!

I think that is from the writer though. Not bradie.

i actually think the mindset bradie is letting us know the team has is the right one. These are two important games and we have to have them both. Its a tough chore to win two games in 4 days.

I cant wait to see how the giants handle atlanta and denver on 4 days rest. we will find out all we need to know about them.

I think the Giants have some big issues with the secondary however I think we will see more from their front 4 and their pass rush coming out of the bye.

That has to be the gameplan. get ross back in the lineup and start bringing more guys after the qb.

If Atlanta somehow beats them and we beat washington, the division is ours for the taking. If we roll into NY with a 8-3 record and they are 6-5 a win could really hurt them.

anyway, thats the cart before the horse, but I am curious to see what happens in the atlanta and denver games.

I agree I think those are some critical games for the Giants, if they come out and falter out of the bye they will be in big trouble. Here's to hoping for trouble. :laugh1:

Interesting stat.

Aren't we like 25-2 when Barber gets 100 yards or something like that?

I'm curious to see how Sensy does with the playcalling in the secondary.

When did he say that? He stated they are focussing on sweeping the next two games. Seems to me that means they are not overlooking anyone.

Really. Where do these guys get their information from ?

Wade said in his press conference that Ball will make most of the calls. He will have some help from Sensabaugh but Ball will make the calls.

Ok i know you can't take everything for granted what Wade said so someone could think hey how will Ball be ready to make all the calls ? It must be Sensabaugh - at least in this game.

But that's not the point. The things those guys write must be based on something don't you guys think so too ? I mean i could write such BS everyday if it has not to have a valid source. And in this case the source in fact just told the oposite. I mean gimme a break.

They also destroyed him last year in one game. Not sure if he was still injured, but he was a total liability. Seems up and down this year, hopefully he is on a good streak now.
