Clarence Hill
Cowboys owner Jerry Jerry is one of four nominees in the Sports Executive of the Year Category for the 2010 Sports Business Awards presented by Street and Smith's SportsBusiness Journal and Sports Business Daily.
The other finalists are NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Vulcan Sports Entertainment exec Tod Leiweke and CBS Sports exec Sean McManus.
It's hard to argue against Jones considering the year he has had with the Cowboys and the opening of the $1.2 billion Cowboys Stadium, allowing him to be a player in football, basketball, soccer and boxing.
The Sports Business Awards recognize excellence and outstanding achievement in the business of sports for the period from January 1, 2009 through February 28, 2010. Executives who have a primary involvement in sports business and whose principal office is located in North America were eligible.
Winners will be announced at an awards gala that will be held Thursday, May 20, at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City.
