Bethea was tendered at a 1st rd pick only level. Doesnt mean thats what they'd take to trade for him. They could accept less.

Add up all the players we know we had last year, plus those that were hurt and did not count against the regault roster. Next, add six draft picks and a few UDFAs, and we are WAY over the roster limit.........

So next subtract the players you want gone...and that leaves you with how much room we have for signing RFAs..

Not much room at all if you think we want to keep most of our draft picks and also retain the guys from last years rookie crop that did not count against the roster.

This does not even take into account spending limits due to RFA rules and also the final 8 rule. So I say again, patience (and rational thought) is needed.

If you could get Sharper to sign a 1 year deal and cut Hamlin and get a rookie then that would be great.


Whatever gets rid of Hamlins contract is fine with me.

Owner Jerry Jones wouldn't give up any names but he said the Cowboys have two players on their free agent radar.

Jones didn't anticipate anything happening this weekend. But he also wouldn't rule it out. He said the Cowboys are so comfortable and so familiar with the prospects because of the team's investigative work at the combine that a deal could come down without a free agent visit.

"We have one possible two we would be looking at, but I dont anticipate it happening," Jones said. "But I'm not totally rulilng it out. I want to leave it open so if a couple of things did happen."

Somebody should nominate Clarence for a Pulitzer Prize for that hard-hitting bit of investigative sports journalism...
