NFL NOTES
Trouble keeps finding 'Pacman'
Wire Reports
Suspended NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones was being sought by police for questioning about a shooting early Monday involving members of his entourage after a fight at an Atlanta strip club.
The http://www.star-telegram.com/329/story/141874.html# cornerback is currently on suspension following a melee and shooting at a Las Vegas strip club.
Jones, his group and three other people got into a fight, apparently over a woman, at a club around 4 a.m., officer Ariel Toledo said. Someone from Jones' group threatened the three men, who told a security officer at the club about it.
After everyone involved left the strip club -- the three people in one car, and Jones and his entourage in three other cars -- someone in Jones' group shot several times into the car as it waited at a red light, police said. The driver returned fire toward the shooter.
Toledo said Jones was not present when the shots were fired and no charges have been filed against him.
Arrington hurt in crash
Former linebacker LaVar Arrington was hospitalized Monday with serious but not life-threatening injuries after his motorcycle crashed on a Maryland highway ramp.
Arrington, 29, lost control and hit a guardrail, Maryland State Police Sgt. Russell Newell said. He said police did not know how fast Arrington was traveling.
Arrington was wearing a helmet and alcohol was not involved in the accident
Arrington's attorney, Rosalyn Pugh, said the former and Giants player had "a few broken bones, which you might expect from a motorcycle accident." She said he had not had surgery.
10th Bengal arrested
Running back Quincy Wilson was charged with disorderly conduct for failing to disperse after a weekend wedding party in Huntington, W.Va., making him the 10th Cincinnati Bengals player arrested in the past 14 months.
The former West Virginia star was with a wedding party celebrating outside a downtown bar around 3 a.m. Sunday when he and 13 others refused a police request to leave, assistant prosecuting attorney Lora Maynard said.
Vick a no-show
http://www.star-telegram.com/329/story/141874.html# quarterback Michael Vick has pulled out of a scheduled appearance at a youth football camp to be held at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va.
Earlier this month, Vick canceled his own youth football camp, which was to be held June 30 at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, where Vick grew up. He cited a scheduling conflict, although the announcement came soon after federal authorities executed a search warrant at a home Vick owns in nearby Surry County. The home has been at a center of a dogfighting investigation.
Briefly
Dolphins: Miami terminated the contract of defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson, after trying unsuccessfully to trade the 14-year veteran.
Titans: RB Chris Brown agreed to a one-year deal.
Panthers: Jason Baker signed a five-year, $8.5 million extension that makes him one of the http://www.star-telegram.com/329/story/141874.html#highest-paid punters.
