I'm not anti mac. I just don't have a use for them. They have their uses just like pc's.

I don't think it's necessarily anti-Mac. It's more the anti-Mac fanboy worship that triggers the desire to get your hate on.

Probably not, OS X and iOS are different. Any operating system can get infected.

Apple is going to need to force updates on the user or abandon java

Personally, I don't care either way.

It actually comes from the gaming world, most of it. It's getting a smidge better but Mac's are not built to play games and versions on the PC struggle to get ported to Macintosh because the market just isn't there.

Think about it...how long did it take Blizz to finally get a Mac version WoW out that was playable?

You have to be far from a regular user nowadays on a mac to get these new games working if the dev doesn't launch a mac version to coincide w/ the PC version.

Can't play all the games on Mac? That means they suck, from the gamer perspective.

Isn't that the truth? OMG you mean we have to update now? But Steve said I was safe, that nobody makes viruses for my MacAirJordanPro?

I wonder how this is all going down inside Apple. More and more are going to start going after the OS X platform, just you watch and see.

It isn't hardended out of the box and your typical Mac user isn't going to know how. Why wouldn't you start writing for exploits on that platform?

If you have the current OSX (Lion), you most likely don't have Java installed--you would have had to install it manually after the OS--and therefore aren't at risk for this. It's not on any of my Macs, and I hadn't even noticed until I read about it this morning and went to check on my machines.

I got an update from Apple yesterday that supposedly patches it. So all you Mac users might wanna do your software updates.:laugh2:

EQ actually has a nice Mac retro server these days. Most people don't know about it but I know a few people that play on it. It certainly wasn't around when I was playing regularly.

Everquest is such a great game. Still is. I remember farming w/ my Chanter in the PoH.

Great times.

I'd definitely still play if I had the time. They just changed it to "free to play" but there is essentially no CS for that level of play, not that this is very important for anyone that's played for an extended period of time.
