it's easy to punk people you outweigh by at least 50lbs.

I seem to remember Bernard being punked that whole game by people around his weight
who cares if he's 50 pounds heavier. Owens will run circles around that fat p.o.s. and make him lose 20 pounds in the process. he palmed owens by the facemask and shoved him. you gotta atleast push back in this league. the boys of the 90s weren't letting players punk them like that.

This sucks. Bernard is really good. On that line, he's gonna be real tough to deal with.

He had 8.5 sacks as a rotation guy a few years ago.

TO was pushing back, unfortunately, Bernard is a fat blob

Bernard was getting pushed around that whole game too

Just goes to show how average Jacobs is and how more average Eli is.

This is silly. Jacobs is a beast. He might be better than Barber right now.

No, this is silly. Barber has something that Jacobs has never shown, HEART. I don't care how big he is, if you hit him in the mouth, he'll quit. It's been proven time and time again.

Try hitting Barber in the mouth - see what happens :)

the Gmen are making some great decisions

doesn't look like they are overpaying for anyone and are still getting quality players

provided the deal for Bernard isn't excessive, or large

Reese is a very good GM

It takes heart to steamroll people like Jacobs does. He's not exactly Shaun Alexander, and having heart doesn't always outweigh talent.

Jacobs, at this point, is a better feature RB than Barber. Barber may be better as a rotation guy, but his game was weakened by starting and carrying the load. Tashard Choice and Felix Jones were much better as ballcarriers.

The guy is bigger than most LB's and all DB's that he faces. I don't know if heart has anything to do with it. He is a freak of nature...size, strength and speed. Thats why he can run over people. But the one time he doesn't steamroll someone, and they push back, he's done.

Right, because Jacobs doesn't drive through entire piles featuring DL's and LB's.

Come on. There's no shame in saying Barber isn't the better feature back. He just isn't.

It can be argued, however, that Barber as a rotational guy is more useful than Jacobs is as a feature guy.

osi, robbins, bernard and tuck.

good grief.

I hope we get some help on the line..

And they have Kiwi and Boley at OLB; Pierce inside.

That's a pretty damn good front 7.

Barber can do a lot more then Jacobs can. So saying Jacobs is the better back is laughable.

Ok. Maybe you should read my post.

Jacobs is better as a feature back. Barber is better as a rotation guy--his pass catching skills and effectiveness when he's well rested makes him better than Jacob when you compare them in that role.

And again, it can be argued that Barber as a rotational guy is more useful than Jacobs as a feature guy--or at least it might be when you've got Felix Jones and Tashard Choice.

If we had signed Bernard, he'd be "an overpaid 30-year-old who isn't big enough to stop the run and was let go by a 4-12 team with one of the NFL's worst defenses."

But since the G-Men sign him it was a great signing!

well I understand what adam is saying and he is right.

however, Fred robbins is a heck of a player and osi and tuck speak for themselves.

so to be the number 4 guy on that line an be a good player kind of really makes it a good signing.
