So is he everyones early draft hopeful now that we know we'll be picking lower?

If we do draft him would you give him a shot at LT right off the bat?

I gotta say.. That guy is the real deal.

I just hope the Cowboys have enough info on Sam Young and don't do something stupid like playing him at guard.

Both Young and Carimi are too tall to play inside at guard. I think given the propper reps, Sam Young could be a good swing tackle for us next year. If we're lucky he may be a player, but right now RT is a huge hole.

I'm hoping for Carimi, Moffit/Pouncey, Resign Kosier and Free, bring in Mankins as of today.

I'd wet my pants.

And here is my best idea yet....!

We let them compete against one another and the best five start!

If we even make 2 of these 4 moves.. we'll be in much better shape than we are now. Getting all 4 of these moves done would be unreal, i agree. Watchin the Wisconson TCU game right now for the first time. I continue to be impressed with Carimi and Moffit each time i watch them.

I'm not sure who I'd take between Pouncey and Mofit, but if those are my choices in round 3, I'd be pretty happy

Good question.....

I wouldn't mind seeing him compete for the LT job. I think Free has been solid there, and we know he's more than capable of holding down the RT position. But I think Carimi would be a heckuva RT.

I agree with your post below....let the top five OL start.

Holy moly man. That isn't a small upgrade over what started today that is HUGE.

It's not unreasonable either.

Signing Mankins would be the most difficult move.

Carimi is good, but he's not "The Real Deal"

Sherrod >>>>>>>Carimi. Pretty easy decision to be honest.

He's the real deal and a better fit for us unless we're moving Free to RT.

Carimi is a can't miss player.

Sherrod >>>>Carimi. If Carimi is a can't miss player, what does that make Sherrod? A blue chip prospect?

Sherrod's much more athletic and can play both T spots. Having both tackles that can play either spot is a HUGE luxury. Sherrods just as good as Carimi at RT and MUCH better at LT.

He is much more athletic. Im not gonna lie...

But if we're looking for a guy that could do both than I like Carimi.

He's more versatile and a monster in the run game.

If I draft Sherrod than Douglas Free is getting moved to RT no questions asked.

I wouldn't be mad with neither. I think their both just as versatile to tell you the truth.

To me Camiri is a solid career right tackle. I don't think he has the feet and/or the wingspan to be an elite left tackle in the NFL.

I think this will be an intereting debate.

I personally think he can do it.

When he gets to the NFL he'll just receive better training and his athletic ability is wayyyy underrated right now.

he may not have the feet, but I'd say he definately has the wing span.

I'm drooling over the thought of.........

1) Gabe Carimi RT

2) Mike Pouncey RG

3) John Moffitt LG

That's pretty attainable without reaching.

Don't worry bout the OL except for starting C for 8-10 years.

I know we are horrible on D but giving Romo, Witten, Dez, Miles, Felix a top 5 OL for years to come fires me up.
