There's also been huge growing pains, and several times when he was rumored to being close to going to the bench.

Every QB has growing pains when they come into the league, I've also seen him lead some miraculous 4th Qtr. drives to win the game. Bottom line is the kid's been very successful so far, he's proved Carroll's comments to be wrong.

And Carrol said it after his "success", obviously it is a valid opinion, for that matter Mark Sanchez is never going to be Drew Brees.

Sanchez obviously made the right decision. He was picked in the top 5 of the Draft, he's making top 5 QB $$ and he has been to 2 straight AFC championship games. To say he should have stayed another year is ridiculous. Look what happened to Leinart who went that route.

Leinart stayed because he had a bum elbow. Not because he wanted to take ballroom dance class and chase co-eds for one more year.

Pete Carroll said that about Sanchez because it was in the best interest of Pete Carroll and U$C not Sanchez. I could care less what that clown has to say. Won't be long before he is back looking for a college job again...
