I understand that trick plays are a high risk/high reward kinda deal, but what is your favorite trick play? And which play do you think the Cowboys should try to run when we get in the playoffs?

My favorite is the simple half-back pass, most infamous was Jets vs. Bucs when Keyshawn called Wayne Chrebet the flashlight. Then he ended up catching a game-winning pass from Curtis Martin with less than a minute left. Keyshawn's face was priceless.

Crayton is the obvious guy, being a former college QB - simple reverse pass from to Miles Austin. Or late in the game when we're trying to kill the clock with Barber, have him toss it back to Romo.

It seems that we have been very successful over the years with the "flea flicker" so that would be my choice......

My favorite is Robert Newhouse's TD pass to Golden Richards in the Superbowl, but there have been many great ones in Dallas.

Drew Pearson threw many a good pass off a reverse.

I liked the half back pass(I think it was Springs) back to Danny White for a TD. That is only legal if the QB is in shotgun in the NFL.

And who can forget Tim Seder taking a handoff on a fake FG for a TD. ;)

Wow I forgot about Seder, wish Julius could have that kind of vision. I remember how fired up the little guy was after he took it to the house.

Flea-Flicker to Glenn seems to be magical. I remember an article where Glenn said that when that play is called, he only checks the yard marker to see how long the TD will be.

That play will come out as soon as Glenn gets rolling. Watch for it.

what about that bruce coslet play where the tight end falls down blocking then gets back up and boom, 25 yds easy. that play seemed to work everytime.

Loved it and I think Randall Williams even scored on that play.

Direct snap to the runningback our of the shotgun, followed a few series later by a direct snap to the runningback on a flea flicker.

Is this the game Key talked so much trash and Chrebet had an amazing game and made Key look like a practice squad player?

That was an awesome play. I remember it working everytime too. Man, just have the entire play go right, have the TE on the left side fall down and fake it then get up all alone on that side. Was such a beautiful play :laugh2:

I believe Keyshawn said, "comparing him to me is like comparing a flashlight to a star." Then he caught the game winner, and Keyshawn gave that classic face that I believe is someone's sig presently.

Have the Cowboys ran a single trick play this year? I cannot recall one. Maybe a reverse or two at most is the closes thing I can remember.

Tony Romo is a trick play.

I don't know if any one has observed this but i think dallas has been developing a rick ply were we fake over snaping the ball over romos head.. that catches the defense off guard.. they let their guard off they go after the QB, the corners stop guarding the wide receivers.. and then romo throws it for a huge gain

not sure what the name of play is..

maybe high snapper for the win?

The play where the TE would fall down at the line of scrimmage, lay there for a sec, then get up and be WIDE OPEN! Save that one for a playoff game!

Nope the only TD Randal Williams has scored in his career is that kick off return on the onsides kick attempt by the Eagles in 2003. I believe it was tight end Tony McGee and wide receiver Darnay Scott that scored on that type play.
