Gallimore stepping it up

I'm glad to see him getting it going. I know a lot of people including myself had high hopes for him after his early success and then he hurt his elbow and seemed to not be the same when he came back. Watch him on this play...

Gallimore has played well. To be honest the only defensive players that seems invincible so far are Clark and Isreal. Sam has not done much but I have seen him free up others for sacks.

He’s getting a lot more snaps than I thought he would.

I wonder if that’s because he’s been better, we’ve been playing bad OLines, or we’ve been blowing teams out and using the whole active rotation?

Will be interesting to see. Similarly with Gholston, who showed well in week 1 but didn’t jump off the screen Sunday though he had a pressure I remembered seeing.

Yeah but he stepped up in the playoffs. He stopped one of the top slot receivers in Godwin. The team is stacked at cornerback. We got some trade pieces for the deadline.
I really wonder who's going to become available and if we'll be buyers.

Gallimore is fine AS LONG AS you don't line him up at the 1T - while Mazi has been 50/50 at holding his ground against double teams, Gallimore gets destroyed CONSTANTLY if he has to face them. He's a 3T ONLY, and, in a rotation, he can be VERY GOOD

He's kind of a tweener, not quite quick enough at 3T and not strong enough for 1T. A decent backup for us, but probably playing for a 2nd contract elsewhere.

Gallimore's role had to be minimized to an energy, hustle player who can penetrate the gaps. You ask him to play a lot of snaps and/or 1T stopping the run, you're asking for trouble.
