It's not difficult to find a WR these days.

Numbers weren't in his favor.

We of course need to take a closer look at the details.

If the braintrust gave him an Elliott-like structure in order to keep the AAV low, it may not look so great of he doesn't produce.

Even so, injury aside, it's tough to imagine Gallup not earning this deal.

Hey....a ray of sunshine at CZ! For now anyway lol

Let's face it, Gallup is a pretty good WR for getting him in the 3rd round. Wasn't Calvin Ridley drafted in the first round that year? I take Gallup over him. The injuries do concern me however.

If true, that's a great deal for Dallas, assuming Gallup can get his legs back post surgery.

ACL surgeries are like cutting a piece of cake anymore now days. He should be fine.
It is just how precautious will the team be, and say...oh, let's keep him on PUP to start the season. In their typical fashion.

Sounds fair he isn't going to be playing the start of the year-most likely. Still need money for another WR after they dump Cooper. And possibly Schultz but not sure if that goes cheap too, doubt it.

Now, truthfully, if you had asked me about a scenario where we cut Coop and sign Gallup to a deal like this I would've taken it.

I've been against cutting Coop, but the numbers work out in our favor here.

Of course, what looks good on paper doesn't always translate to the field.

Hopefully we get back to a punishing run game, and both CD and Gallup thrive.
