Gallup played better than any receiver in the Philly game.
I only got to watch at the game. But saw a pass that he could have caught but I don’t think he knew it was coming. The staff really screwed the players. The same game plan of throwing the ball all day.

Both put up a lot of yards to start their career but Gallup can’t consistent catch either. He singlehandedly cost this team the Jets and Eagles game.

He gets open much more than TWill but that does you no good if you drop the wide open passes
Twill was fine until Dak. Gallup also has Dak spraying throws like diarrhea

Dak's inaccurate arm is difficult to overcome in games where the running game is just not clicking and the the opposing team is putting up a formidable fight. The overthrow to Austin was brutal and game. It's the deficiency that never goes away.
Even if the stack the line you still run the ball to keep them honest. With our O-Line and RB you can still pick up 3-5 yards.

Prescott was off, no question. But there were drops that were basic catches. The play calling IMO was absolutely horrible. You're right, we abandoned the run. As always.

I see the acute analysis I've grown to love is back out in full force today at CZ. :muttley:

They're not wrong about Gallup jumping for the ball for it to go to his body even though he doesn't need to. I remember Aikman even mocking him for this.

I agree you never stop running the ball, but consistently throwing late and behind receivers is recipe for disaster in close games.

Of all the big problems on the Cowboys, Gallup isn't one of them.

He is way better than TWill. Great route runner that is light years better than TWill.

I think he’s a better player. Does have problems with catches, and jumps too much when shouldn’t,but it’s not stupid stupid stuff like T.Will. He’s always fighting for the ball. T.Will would lose his head if not involved...and Gallup doesn’t. But the catch to miss ratio isn’t where it should be. That must be a better % number with him moving forward. Really he’s not a big concern to me though, and only one I’d keep of WRs If starting over.

Yep. I didn’t get to watch it but looking at stats now. It appears that they stuffed the run in the first half but he started clicking in the second half and after Pollard fumbles they just gave up on it. Dak being injured hurt the team. Just saw him miss Austin deep and was a TD. And just saw Gallup drop a pass right in his hands deep. 2 mistakes that was 14 points guaranteed..

In his post game he said he was good to go, he was pulled out of the game
These folks don't want to hear that.
They know this coaching staff sucks so they need to have other places to spit their venom. Cooper is that guy now.
None of these posters have a clue if the play calls are away from Cooper or if he is getting open or not down field.

They need places to point fingers because they are angry things didn't go the way they wanted.

Amari sure made no effort to stay in. He's no Michael Irvin or Dez Bryant. You could not have been able to drag Michael or Dez off the field if they were playing yesterday. Amari gladly walked right off like the emotional bum he is. Now we know the rumors from Oakland about how Amari would take plays off or mentally disappear were true.
please dude.

So Cooper blows up on the sideline for the coaches taking him out and now your narrative is he is a drama queen malcontent that only cares about his stats.
If he does what he is told then your narrative is he is a lazy bum with an I don't care attitude.

The truth is you have no clue about these things because as fans we can't possibly know. We are not in the WR room. We don't get to know the play calls. Teams would do this to Dez also and he became a decoy and when he finally spoke out about it he was cut. These coaches are awful and can't scheme our weapons open.

How many years do you need to see of talented players having their careers wasted. Blaming cooper is giving a pass to our coaching staff that they don't deserve.

singlehandidly cost them the eagles game.

You sure about that? Rewatch the game, the quarterback was awful and then after the game sounded like a guy who was in a great mood and just said hey i got to be better and we are so talented.

I am not sure what is more infuriating about the qb, the fact that he plays terribly in big moments over and over or his sorry press conferences after the game where he talks like a robot.

I am not even sure he cares they lost after listening to him in his press conference yesterday. He is a piece that needs to be replaced, all we hear about is his "Leadership" and after we lose this guy seems pretty damn content.

The next head coach is going to get this guy forced on him and he will have one hand tied behind his back before the ink is dry on his contract to be the head coach.

This team has its share of problems - but Gallup isn't one.
Gallup is a good WR and will only get better. I don’t have hardly any gripe with Gallup. This thread is a joke!

You keep creating the same players over and over when you coach them that way.

Exactly, this thread is nuts. Gallup is the #2 on this team, has missed two games and still has 1009 receiving yards. That ranks 21st in the NFL but somehow Gallup is the problem now??
