Now since the roster is set, except for any final spots like trades or players claimed.
We can look at game one. Though it's a week away plus one day. Time for some very early thoughts.
Not an in depth analysis but just some general stuff.

We know Hardy and RoMac will not play. We will be 100% healthy, so we are told from the other night during the Texans game.
The offense should be the same except concerns on how the running game will look. But with the OL they should be decent enough. We will have a healthy Romo this time for game one.
Defense should be improved with a much better pass rush. We did not have Hardy at this point last year, so he will only be a plus when he returns.
Lee is back, so that lessens the impact of Ro not playing.

But what about the Giants. JPP won't be playing, though I have not heard that officially. What about Criz, he was to be very doubtful, but has anyone heard anything more on this?
Are there any other concerns with them health wise. Has anyone kept up in how they looked in the preseason, not just games, but also TC. Is their secondary still very suspect?

I expect a tough game no matter what. But we should prevail with a win is my unofficial opinion at this time.
Of course I hope we come out and just whip them a good one.

I post on a Giants forum, and their fans have been pretty down on the team during preseason. The team hasn't looked good, but you know how preseason is - you don't know exactly what the coaches are trying to accomplish, so how can anyone really judge how the team is performing?

They have a lot of injuries, which seems to be the norm with them lately. I'm not sure they even have an NFL level safety on the team at this point, at least if you listen to their fans.

So no JPP, likely no Cruz, a patchwork and seemingly not very good OL. Eli hasn't looked sharp in the preseason according to reports. Their fans are super pissed that we got Collins when they are in need of OL help.

Spags is back at DC, but nobody is sure how that will turn out because when he left he didn't have much success so it may just be that he had terrific talent last time he was DC for the Giants - and that doesn't seem to be the case now.

That's about it off the top of my head. On paper I think we should win easily. Division games rarely turn out that way though so it'll probably be a tough game.

I think it would be good for our team to experience a beatdown of a divisional opponent to start the season off. I would love Dallas to start to learn how to put teams away and kill them off early, like we were doing at the end of last season.

As usual I expect a tough game
But stop their run and pound the crap out of Eli and he will throw up a few picks and we will win

The Giants will get off to a good start in the game, and take an early lead.

The Cowboy superiority in the trenches - boy, does it feel great saying that - will establish itself and the Giants will wear down.

I see a 10 point win.

I can't see the Giants getting more than a 3-0 lead. Assuming Romo is healthy all game, I expect the Cowboys to win by 16+ points. This, talent wise, should be one of our easist opponents all season. And if allow it to be close because the Giants are a divisional rival, then I will be disappointed.

Sloppy game with weeping and gnashing of teeth, both during and after, but the Cowboys grab the "W" and head up to Philly where pundits are hailing a new king bent on revenge after Philly rolls their first opponent but Dallas........

guess that prediction will have to wait until next week

I know the Giants usually play us tough. But Dallas is clearly more talented on both lines, receiver and QB. They're playing at home on a Sunday night. They'll be fired up and ready for this game. So I don't see this being very close unless Dallas plays poorly allowing NY to stay competitive. That won't happen. Dallas by double digits.
