Game 2 thoughts

Those high powered offenses you allude too also have great weapons in the passing game. Dak needs to up his game for sure, but we won't be in that class without those type of skill players either. They should at least have splurged for a capable TE, a good TE is a young QB's best friend.

Those high-powered offenses are also getting better play out of their offensive lines than what this team is getting.

Wanna see our defense against a well-balanced offense with an above-average O-line. Really like what I’m seeing so far, but Cam beat us with his legs in that Carolina game, and as far as the Giants go, they’ve got the worst O-line in the league and were trying to protect a statue at QB.

The offense bounced back against a pretty good defense, but there’s still plenty of room for improvement. C-Will had a better game but Collins has become a holding call waiting to happen. Putting Dak’s legs into the equation really helped. Keep feeding Zeke...and more Rico, please.

Tighten up a few things, get more familiarity between Dak and his receivers and we’re good to go.

I thought Williams played much better last night. Still has a way to go but bounced back after a rough week versus Short.
I still don't see Collins as a good RT. Thought him at LG was his best spot.

Our coaching staff simply is too afraid to make that type of decision or just too stupid to see it. Prime example is Byron Jones. The staff has misused his talent for 4 years!

Ok, maybe they see something that rest of us don't see with Collins/Williams. But to me Willams looks more athletic and more suitable to play in space whereas Collin is a mad truck better suited in a phone booth.

Dak played a good game. The way defenses are selling out to stop zeke the read option worked perfectly.
The defense played great, it was noteworthy that the lone Giants touchdown came with Lee out of the game
Our new kicker can kick
Tavon Austin is a big play threat.
I don't buy that the offensive was only good with the opening scripted plays, all games have ebb and flow. The methodical second half touchdown drive was just what we needed.
LVE looked good with some serious range similar to Smith's. He tackled Barkley several times one on one.

he overall defense was outstanding. The offense while improved from game 1, needs to continue to show more consistency, which should happen with Dak becoming more familiar with his new skill players and the offense just getting in more practice and games under their belt.

Don't forget Gregory wasn't playing and we get back Irving for week 5. The front 7 only gets better.

Dak played well. A few missed opportunities. Looked like Rico was held up on that corner end zone pass. Ball was where it should be.

Dak threw another to Rico that Rico has to catch. I thought he was throwing it away but was actually a nicely placed pass. Rico maybe jumped to early.

Our Defense looked really good. They need to work on tackling. I know the giants new rb is hard to bring down but come on. And what’s with Marinelli letting off the gas at the end of the game? Almost let them back in it. ST needs to work on onside drills. That was a killer.

WR got open and Dak was decisive and pretty accurate. Would have looked better but they had a few drops. Gallup dropped a nice pass.

Teams are selling out to stop Elliot. He has a good game, he will start breaking some longer runs soon.

O-Line played pretty solid. I didn’t pay attention but did anyone notice Connor? Did he do better this week? He was playing against a 340 pounder.

They played a bad team. Their OL was suspect before this game, they seemed to emulate our offense the previous week.

While the D looked good for most of the game, they did let them back in the game and if not for one big offensive play, how does this game go?

Dak reverted back to his junior season in college and got his highest rushing total as a Cowboy and I think part of that was what Landon Collins said earlier in the week because Dak ran with attitude. He was under 200 yards against an average defense and that cannot continue because every other team is going to do exactly what Landon Collins thought they could do.

I will take the win and not complain but this didn't really change my feeling about this season. This could be just 1 of the <8 wins and there is still plenty to be concerned about, including the play calling.
