terrible performance by the D all around. No run defense and no pressure on Kitna... i have seen the detroit O-line get dominated all year long so today was very troubling.

Colombo should have been pulled, it was obvious he was not 100% and it came close to costing us. If they have as much faith as they claim in McQ, we should have seen him. Here is hoping Colombo gets healthy in a hurry.

A win is a win but today was not good enough to get to the SB, let alone win it.

I'm not gonna get down on this win...we won the friggin division.
That's all that matters to me.
It isn't a beauty pagent this time of the year. A win is a win.
I seem to remember the Pats being lauded for thier win against the Ravens...I doubt you will see the media react to the Cowboys the same way.
And I could care less.
Division Champs!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shaun "Lil Mac" McDonald was a dart in our backside.

End of Day Romo pulled it out. We need to be ready for spreads and WR's like McDonald who can
expose us...

So who in the NFC is playing good enough to get to the SB? I gotta hear this answer.

Definitely have to give a game ball to Miles Austin...Really gave the return game a spark for what has typically been a lackluster aspect of the team.

The defense?...Where do you begin?...Ratliff probably had the most consistent effort out there...RW again was a nonfactor and Hamlin gave no indication he deserves any kind of extension...If I had to choose one guy in the secondary, I guess I'd say Newman played the 'best' but even he failed to back up his rhetoric (Funny or not) with anything other than a questionable overall performance...And while DWare and Ellis provided marginal pass pressure throughout the game, this was against a Lions OL that was getting killed each week by pressure...Gotta think that can't be looked at as anything but a serious failure on the DL...But more than anything else, for me, the blame has got to go to the coaching staff and failure to do much of anything to abate the Lions offense...They played soft zone coverage and pretty much let them run up and down the field at will...No way to go through a season hoping your offense simply outscores your defense giving pts away...And the tackling?...How many times did we see the LBs get knocked back at the point of contact?...And not just by Duckett, mind you...Next time the subject of needing a better tackling ILB comes up, perhaps other zoners won't be quick to scoff...It remains a need...The tackling was pathetic.

Not surprising they bottled up TO like they did but why weren't there many attempts down the field?...I thought Miles Austin was going to be used a little like he was against GB...Strange.

How good did Greg Blue look for the Lions?...He had a couple of key plays and actually stood up the bigger Barber on a couple of plays...Sure would be nice to see some of our Safeties record plays like that....He was a late addition to the Lions, too.

If you're a Lions fan, gotta be lickin your wounds right about now and wanting Shaun Rogers tossed from the team...That dude really better stay out of sight in Detroit...Shameful from him.

Kitna...Looked pretty good and pretty accurate about his 'joking' around comments, eh?...Let's just hope the rest of Dallas' opponents don't give any bulletin board material that turns into these kinda games.

And doesn't it seem like each week an opposing punter seemingly outplays our very own McBriar?...Crazy, seems like they all seem to have career days against the boys.

Dude, it's not about Division Championships in Big D. It's about World Championships. Always has been and always will be. I'm not satisfied till we win another Super Bowl and this Defense may not be good enough to get that done.

whose D is? because I haven't seen it

the NFL all about offense nowadays, and we have more than enough

I'm not sure anyone deserves a game ball after a game like this...you can find fault everywhere..the defense deserves most of the blame, but offensively that was far from a work of art too, and this was one of the lowest rated defenses in football we played (31st in yds, 28th in pts)

even our punter sucked arse today, and that never happens

Did I miss something? Was today the nfc championship? IN the end a day like today is going to be good for our defense.

yeah somewhat agree...but you cant go out and give up 160 yds to a team that has no clue how to run the ball, and give the other QB 10 seconds to throw every time he drops back when in the other 12 games he's been mauled

if we'd have played a good team today with this same kind of effort, we'd have got beat by 3 or 4 tds...

days like today are never good, especially when your defense has a history of folding like a house of cards every ry down the stretch

Philly had their season basically ended today...Carolina had their season ended weeks ago...these next two games should be dominant wins, especially with the goals of a 1st rd bye and home field advantage on the line

A defense that gives up probably 350 points by season's end isn't cool Bob.

Well I disagree, I think this will keep the team working hard on defense.

I dont see this group folding like a house of cards, but on the other hand I dont see a game anywhere that I think they come out and dominate like the 85 bears.

The defense needs to just manage the game and not give up big scores and alot of points.

Philly will give us a hell of a game this week, the one reason I am very confident is mcnabb has truly been terrible this year, he looked awful from what I saw today. He seems like he is a tick behind on his reads and he is unable to gauge when to throw and when to run.

I think we see a bunch of pressure next week and a couple of sacks.

again though, when the playoffs start whether it is manning, garcia or jackson that come here in the divisional round they are going to make some plays we will have to overcome. Every team has that. The seattle defense has really been playing well, but I question their abilities against higher quality teams.

Our defense didn't play great, but we have to give some credit to the Lions. They had a great game plan.

Our defense stepped up a couple of times on some goal line situations and forced some field goals.

they did the same thing to Green bay. They ran all over them. they just made mistakes and then got behind really quick and were forced to throw.

the days where 2 very, good teams getting into an old-fashioned, defensive slugging match are pretty much over w/ the new rules in place, and w/ the emphasis put on spreading Ds out

the Bears were the last, great Defense that was capable of slowing potent offenses down, but when they face a QB who's great at beating the blitz, either by spreading them out and hitting quick passes, or just being great at finding the open receiver, they're done

in this day and age, you need to outscore the opponent to win, and make critical stops on D when the game is on the line

they were actually ahead early after settling for fg's (something we couldnt force them into)...then Green Bay blew them out before allowing a couple of late scores to make the final look better

we were losing this game for 59+ minutes

game ball = Marion Barber

he had a good overall game I guess, but he had one fumble and totally whiffed on a blitz pickup, giving up a sack

like I said, not sure anybody really deserves a game ball after today
