Ellis, Henry on defense. Greg Ellis who was supposed to be bad fit continually got pressure. Henry just manhandled WRs out wide and plays the ball. The fact SD kept trying to beat him cost them the game IMHO. They made 1 play in about 10 tries late and had the pick earlier.

Bledsoe and Crayton on offense. While Julius was just average by his standards those 2 far surpassed expectations. Bledsoe does hold the ball but the upside is he can make plays with it when he gets a chance and those sacks are made up for quickly with TD strikes.

I credited Bledsoe above, but I thought his deep ball was suspect today.

uh ok.
he had a whopping 6 incompletions and had 3 TDs. i'll take a 2 incompletion per Td ratio. The one poorly thrown pass I can recall was a 60 yarder he overthrew someone on so yea i guess 1 deep ball was "suspect".

he had a pro bowl type day.

it'll be tougher next week to get 28 points but 14 should win the game.

Anthony Henry...he played really good and got a hand on a lot of balls that would otherwise be caught. And he had a pick and almost 2 others!
He was great, but you have to give two game balls, one to Bledsoe...he was a STAR today against a very good pressure defense. Great completion percentage, no int's, 3 TD passes. No one could have asked for more, and while the defense gave up a bundle of points today with the usual inability to make a stop on 3rd and long, Bledsoe really came through.

Henry by a longshot. Other guys played well but Henry was the difference. 5 PDs in one game has to be the most of any Dallas player since the Deion-KSmith days.

Bledsoe a close second. When he was upright, he was on the money all day.

I agree with the obvious game ball choices of Henry, Crayton, and Bledsoe.

I also throw in two more.

One for Keyshawn who made three really clutch receptions. Both TD catches were fairly tough, but his sideline extension catch was true artistry.

The other is for Charger CB Jammer. His costly penalties extended two TD drives.

San Diego killed themselves with at least 4 major 3rd down penalties that kept drives alive. Nice to see DALLAS catch those breaks once a decade or so.

Guys, there is serious reason to be optimistic. DALLAS went into the defending AFC West champions' house and beat them in the season opener. That is a damn good team the 'BOYS beat. Yeah, TE Gates was missing but DALLAS played a lot of young, untested and obviously unproven guys.....and WON.

KO coverage team will get some good work this week, I bet.

JJ, Patrick, Henry, Greg, Dat, and La'Roi, and of course one to the guy who's been getting thrown under the bus a lot lately.

The OLD broken down one who can't separate worth crap but can STILL get behind a defense somehow. The one who doesn't 'fit' with Bledsoe.
