Jonathan Allen, Solomon Thomas, TJ Watt & Charles Harris. Some interesting video and facts. I did not realize that the Watt hurt his knee, redshirted, and did not play a down of football from October 2012 through September of 2015, and has only played defense for a total of 18 months in his life. He has upside, but a difficult evaluation with such limited experience and tape. I still really like Harris, but Manock points to his shorter arms as a negative. Allen and Thomas will be gone. P.S. I would take Harris or Watt, but my favorite is still Bowser.

That's why I'm iffy on watt. Scary to draft a player who has blown out both of their knees.

If we want a DE round 1 I'm taking Watt. Charles Harris has me a little scared now. Watt looks much stronger in the run game than Harris. I'll take the injury risk at 28 for a guy that will be working out with jj watt all the time

I've got the injury fear also. It looks like everyone has some problems Harris looks less problematic

Myles Garrett's sitting somewhere thinking, "I thought this show was called Game Changers."

I'm no Harris fan but he looked a lot bigger and well-developed in that video than I expected. Kind of full of himself though.

I like Watt for the DEs who are likely to be around at 28 (Taco, then Watt, then Takk), but he has some super skinny legs and looked like he had the slowest feet in the rope ladder drill. Also seemed the least confident and not much personality. But he wakes up thinking about football, works at football all day, and goes to sleep dreaming about football. Work ethic and the athleticism will take him far. I think it's as good a bet as you can make at 28.

I'd be going CB personally though, preferably with a trade down to pick up another 3rd or early 4th.

This post is all over the place. What's the perfect temperament that you want from a DE? lol Harris too cocky, Watt not enough. Jeez

I like Harris. I think he's the got the right temperament for the position. And he's over analyzed big time since the season ended.

There is no reason why teams could not collect DNA on players and look to see if they have the allele that is conducive to ligament issues.

There are people whose genes express ligament production heterogeneously as opposed to the much more homogeneous varieties. The incidents of ligament and tendon injuries of the latter over the forum is upwards of half.

Stanford pioneered the work but below is a nice summation:

Unless Barnett or Taco falls I say wait and hope to get Lawson/Bowser/Basham/Willis/Rivers later. I really don't see a big gap between those guys and Harris/Takk/Watt/Bowser

I have been on board the Harris train since the beginning and I'm not jumping off. The guy is ALWAYS in the backfield, sack or not, he's there.

Agreed.

There's no reason to overthink it.

Might not even pick any of these guys and just get Adoree Jackson and Josh Jones 1st and 2nd.

Then go after a long armed guy like Daeshon Hall 35" or Avery Moss 34" in the 3rd and let Marinelli coach em up.

4th round who knows...whoever rocks your boat I guess. :)
