When you see a NFL player make a game changing mistake, do you hold a grudge against that player?

No. I get mad but I realize guys will make mistakes even the best of them. All a player can do after he makes a mistake is shake it off and move on, dwelling on it only makes you hesitant out of fear of making another mistake and you can't afford to do that.

Jackie Smith, Leon Lett, and Patrick Crayton all say "Yes, fans do hold a grudge, sometimes for a long time."

Any player from a team besides the Cowboys - no.

No doubt some do others of us don't

Ha, very true!

Considering we won the SB in both years of Lett's epic gaffes, I don't know how many people really hold a grudge against him for his (on-field) errors. I just laugh at those now.

But man, that was one silent Thanksgiving dinner.

I have a sort of loosely-based point system in my head. If a person makes a mistake, they have opportunities to make it up with me. haha. It's about 3 good plays to make up for that 1 mistake.

It also depends on the person's attitude. Barron laughing and chumming it up with opposing players makes it impossible for me to forgive his holding call.

Did not help that Barron made no spectacular play as a starter.

Personally speaking, if I held a grudge against every player whoever made a mistake on the field, that would be everyone lol. Throwing a pick, dropping a pass, a fumble, its called football... Players are only human! But if it happens consistently, then there's a problem...

I guess like at any other job if you don't make mistakes your not doing anything. In sports guys who make no mistake are guys who are not playing in the game but riding the bench.

If it's not a pattern of mistakes, no.

But when it happens consistently, yeah, I start to get down.....

Awesome perspective!

I never hold a grudge, .. but I do feel differently about physical mistakes than mental mistakes.

I guess from my coaching experience.

Physical mistakes don't bother me at all, part of the game.

But mental mistakes drive me crazy.

Add Roy Williams against the Saints to that list.

I think he was asking if you personally hold a grudge....not what other fans think.
