This is one of my favorite threads because I get ideas for future meals.

That being said - on with it! What's everyone having?

Dad and I just got done making his special chili...we don't really have a name for it yet. I'll see what he wants to call it and try and update the post :)

For drink: Samichlaus Bier from Belgium...14% alc. by vol.

This may sound boring. Lemon chicken with white rice and fresh green beans.

I'm eating BBQ at 9:23 am so I can enjoy it in case the Cowboys ruin my appetite later on.

Not boring - - - healthy.

Good for you.

Probably just beer during the game. Got some gumbo will probably reheat, always better a couple days after making it.

Certainly a cold weather beer.

Half a 20oz of luke warm Dr Pepper and a handful of the crumbs left at the bottom of this bag of Doritos.

Absolutely!

What's really funny - the chili is actually a slight modification of a weight watchers recipe

What are you, gay?

jk.

A few of the fellas are coming over in about 15, probably just gonna have the typical RoundTable pizza and MGD/Soda. Thank God for NFL Sunday Ticket.

:beer2: Here, here....'To the Cowboys!'

And the Bar is definitely open....

cas, you and your Dad enjoy a grand Football Day!

OK, I'll step up to the grill. Try a pork tenderloin that has been flattened like a schnitzel, and then roll up blue cheese inside and grill on each side until well grilled. You might allow to cool, and add a marinate of choice. A blend of pineaple, tomatoes, and a nice wine with spices and herbs would work for me. I would add a large dish of scalloped potatoes, incorporating layers of potatoes/velveeta/cheddar cheese/onions...with a buttered pan and cream filled bottom and cheddar cheese/butter topped. I would add a pan of green beans with a skillet of carmelized onions and smokd bacon put into that pot. Add a half cup of vinegar and a cup of sugar, and then add both new potatoes and black olives. After cooked and allowed to settle, then add seven italian cheeses as the topping. Then for desert, an apple cobbler with homemade ice cream....

Cas....you'll fall in love with the Riverfront in San Antonio. As to falling in love with a Damsel, El Paso is pretty interesting as well. Sumptuous Seductress is a familiar adj. where the 3rd ACR is homed. Juarez, 'Waters,' is a very dangerous place, but the market is fun.

Cuisine is grand in San Antonio and done in grand fashion there. Ask Salty for some insights as well...he can give you a pronounced and insightful guide.

Funny thing is I rarely eat during the game, when I do it’s a dish from and Afghanistan restaurant chicken kabob and spinage and rice, I may drink some Grey Goose or Patron.
