Wasn’t doing anything special this year. Wife made awesome spaghetti and meatballs. And also got Arbys roast beef and cheddar 1/2 pound sandwiches. Lol. Next week I will smoke something..,

Depending on the time of year it's either Chili Con Carne, Chili Colorado, Chili Verde or White Chili.

Just my original recipe, but I just tried it out with turkey instead of beef, thinking it would be lower in cholesterol (doc says I need to lower it) but apparently ground turkey is no better than beef, because they have to add the fat into it, just to give it that formable consistency. Next time I'm gonna try chicken breasts.

I'm not really a good cook, but everyone loves my chili.

That is the best thing about food.
If one can do one dish/ receipe very well - be it an appetizer, salad, vegetable-meat entree, dessert ...or even drinks - everyone will partake in it and enjoy.

Late entry. I've got my son & his family visiting. He is by far one of the best at the BBQ grill I know, so I just chill & let him do all of the cooking.

Going with ribs, sausage & hot dogs for the grand kids. Homemade cole slaw & baked beans for the sides.

Poor guy lives a little south of Tuscaloosa & has been bashed for forever, but has a Longhorns banner in his office just for spite. He was crushed yesterday thinking he'd get some payback.

Had a splendid Sunday dinner earlier on: Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, mash potatoes, carrots, broccoli, Mince and Onion. Family in bed now (11.16pm UK time) and now on the Gin and Tonics, while watching the Red Zone. Pure heaven, roll on 1.20am

Thank you. I'm planning an all nighter, 3 hours sleep then straight to work, I'm working home so can have an extra hours sleep. I'm only 46 miles from the Scottish border but am all out of malt but planning to get a bottle of Glenfiddich before the Queens funeral so I can raise a glass.

So in honor of the Big Guy @Ranching, at his personal request (and since I don't see a Game Day Menu thread up yet...) I'm going to be the temp for today's Game Day Menu Thread! Let's do this ladies and gents!

He'll be back in time for the Game tonight so let's make sure we give a big welcome back!

I'll kick it off:

Gonna be grilling up some lamb burgers while the fam is making chile rellenos and a side salad so we can pretend to have eaten something healthy, lol.
