Game day Menu

Torn between seafood salad and tuna on crackers, or pizza. There will be drinks as well, got a new bottle of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked I’m ready to sample...
I would put the tuna on crackers, not the pizza.

That Woodford is nice and I hadn't had bourbon in years and tried a bottle for Derby Day several years back since they're the official bourbon.

I wouldn't put Five Guys in with fast food with drive throughs using warmers

I struggle with that, but ultimately decided to include them because of the number of restaurants they have around and the convenience akin to fast food.

I would not consider Red Robin fast food. It is a sit down restaurant with a full bar. And there has been many many times my order took waaaay too long :)
Those are called casual dining, not fast food. Like Applebee's, Chili's and Friday's.

Yeah I got a meat lovers pizza in the freezer...

Fritto misto de mare. Next week's easy. Dove season opens Saturday.
The fritto misto di mare, a platter of assorted fried seafood is hugely popular in Campania but found all over Italy. It will always include crustaceans and mollusks, typically shrimp and squid, and often very small whole fish, such as fresh anchovies or sardines, or baby mackerel or mullet, collectively known as paranza. Here in the US, you might look for fresh sardines or smelt; they are hard to find but occasionally make an appearance, especially in areas with large Italian-American communities. But you should really feel free to include whatever seafood that’s fresh and available to you locally.

(for those not recognizing your plate of choice)

Fair enough. My top 5 fast food Burger pecking order:
  1. Five Guys
  2. Hardee's
  3. Wendy's
  4. Cookout
  5. Sonic
One day I'll try Whataburger, but alas I'm on the East Coast.

That is a pretty terrible list for FF burgers :lmao:

You really need to visit the South/SW for good ones

My top 5(in no particular order)
1. Freddy's Steakburgers
2. Whataburger
3. The Habit
4. Wimpy's
5. In-N-Out(mainly due to the fresh cut fries)

Sadly, I have none of those options at my disposal.

I tell ya what I don't get about Whataburger, the onions. I've eaten at least 30 different ones across this state over the years and their onions are always the same, not too hot, just right. They also chop them up so you don't get a mouthful of onion like Burger King with those slices falling off the burger.

With ff burgers, it's all about construction to me because if you taste just the meat, it ain't great in taste or texture. Wendy's taste the best but their too damned weird. Why in the hell not have square buns for square patties? Whataburger is American, they put mustard on their burger. Burger King puts mayo and ketchup and that's just so wrong. Someone should be punished.

But you folks in Dallas should try Burger Street, if you haven't. Best ff burger I've had, fries suck because they're seasoned fries and that's as wrong as mayo and ketchup on a burger.

Well, I'd put that Hardee's in the disposal. They keep trying to invent ways to make OK burgers taste worse. "Hey, let's take an old sponge, three anchovies and some fried slugs on this new burger and we'll call it The Slugger".

Haha. They thic, though.

I don't plan food for preseason games, and especially the last one in which the only real goal of the teams is to keep from getting anyone hurt. I would be shocked if I'm still watching in the 4th quarter.

We have a zaxbys around but haven’t tried them yet. Looks like salads or something.

I didn’t want to start a new thread for this but is the game streaming anywhere out of market? NFL net was no go

It’s a reason to party. :flagwave:
