I know this likely will NEVER happen, and I definitely wouldn't want it to, but what would it take for a trade of Ware. You have to list a scenario...

Example:
Would you trade Ware to Detroit for 3 first round picks? their 2 this year and 1 next year. You could then try to go after Crabtree this year and then have 10 other picks to get a "couple of replacements" and a #1 next year.

I really can't see any scenario where I would do it, but there has to be one as everything has a price. I'll go with the above but can be swayed that it is too little :)

I would trade Ware for only Brady or Manning.

That is it, no other scenario would do it.

For THREE number ones, yes. NO player is worth that much, not even Ware. Like you said, it would never happen, but if Detroit offerred that, you'd have to jump on it ( or if ala New Orleans for Ricky Williams they traded all their picks next year for him, including the two #1's )

There is no realistic scenario under which you would trade Ware. Three number one picks? You spend 1's for years trying to get a guy like Ware. You get one of those every 10-15 years, if then. Would you trade Ware for Spencer, Newman, and Roy Williams (the safety or the WR)? Would you trade Ware for Ellis, Carpenter, and Jenkins? Heck, would you trade Ware for a package that includeded the following: Spencer, Newman, both Roy Williams, Ellis, Carpenter and Jenkins?

You build around guys like Ware.

I just don't see any plausible scenarios that would leave me to say trade Ware. A guy like that doesn't come around very often at all. Sorry. I know this was just for fun but I just can't see any scenarios.

Calvin Johnson, Cory Redding + #1, #2, #3 this year, #1 next year and #1 the following year for TO and Ware. LOL in my dreams....but there's no real world scenario i think you can come up with for both sides.

The 4 of the Steelers starting LB crew, maybe; I'd feel better if I got their 1st and 2nd draft pick, too

If the idea is to get a sure thing from your No. 1 pick, why would you trade a sure thing in Ware for an unproven player even if that player is a first round pick?

I'd rather just keep Ware (who is still young) and draft other players with the picks we have. You don't have to have a team of superstars to win the Super Bowl. Just a few great ones and other players who understand and perform their specific responsibilities.

Ware would cost straight up... in a trade with the Steelers... which would include Casey Hampton, Troy Polamalu, Lamar Woodley and TWO number one picks

The amount of players we would need in order to get his value (including first rounders) would eat up so much cap space that we would have to release half of them anyways :laugh2:

3 #1's? Yes I'd trade Ware for 3 #1's. I'd do that in a heartbeat. I love Ware, one of my favorite players ever, but no player is worth keeping when someone is giving you 3 #1's for them.

That's too good a deal to turn down, even when it means losing Ware.

Ware might eventually be the greatest OLB of all time. He's well on his way. You don't trade that for anything. It's like asking what would you trade Jerry Rice, or Lawrence Taylor, or Ronnie Lott for? There is no pricetag. :)

And I disagree. As much as I liked those guys as ball players even they werent worth keeping over 3 #1 picks. That's just my opinion though. Anyone willing to give me 3 #1's for any player is going to get that player and I'm taking the 3 #1's.

Then again I'd also beleive that I'd have the people in place to make those 3 #1's count, so I guess maybe you wouldn't do it if you didn't think you'd do well with your picks.

Did we suddenly lose Barber, Jones and Choice in this version? I like AP as much as anyone but not straight up for Ware when we've got the kind of depth we've already got at RB.

Only players I'd trade him straight up for are Brady of Peyton and even then i'd really have to think about it in a straight up situation.

We didnt lose barber, choice or Felix but for the chance to take a game changer like Peterson i am afraid i would have to do it.

I hope Barber or Felix become as good as Peterson.

But Peterson is one explosive SOB.

Ok back to reality.......

Hmmmm....
First of all, any trade I'd make wouldn't have a centerpiece of a 1st rounder b/c there isn't one that could fill his shoes...or his worth to the team. So I'd accentuate the poster's suggestion who said A.P.: throw in one of the Williams boys & Jared Allen and make it happen!
