I got to go to the game yesterday with my special son. It was a great time just he and I. I was able to get some great seats for a great price. We got to walk around the stadium and really enjoy it.
Then the game started:
There were some empty seats in my area at kick off. Some were late arriving, and I was disappointed when a couple showed up with wine glasses and a Kindle Fire, to read during the game.
The crowd in our section was loud and so was the crowd in the whole stadium, then the first drive happened. The whole energy of the stadium was sapped. There was nothing to cheer about the rest of the game. People on this site complain about crowd noise, well when you march an uninspired team out there, what do you expect?
When McGee came out on the second drive, no one in the stadium knew what happened to Tony. You would think they would make some kind of announcement. It wasn't until the game was over that most people found out what Tony's injury was. There was no replays, or shots of Tony on the sidelines.
Costa is just terrible. He was abused by whichever player was in front of him.
The WR's, all of them were running their routes at half speed, when the play was not going their way.
I don't understand why Garrett went conservative when McGee came in. Why not stick to the game plan to see what the kid can do? The worse that could happen was losing the game......right!
Terrence Newman is just terrible. Absolutely worthless! He is uninspired, and his body language is terrible, it brings his whole team down. I heard Drew Pearson say that he could catch 10 passes for over 100 yards on Newman right now at 60 years old. I have no doubt that he could.
This defense has one great pass rusher and players who are JAGs. Lissemore gives great effort, and deserves a spot on the team. Spencer played well yesterday, but he not nearly consistent enough. Hatcher, Spears, Ratliffe and 99 were just going through the motions.
Fans were booing the pathetic effort put out by the team yesterday. And I don't even blame Garrett or Ryan. The players, especially the defense have no pride and have just about give up. McGee was hit and dropped every time he dropped back. Spencer has a clean shot at Vick and he holds back. I saw many times where the defensive players helped up the Eagles players. I never saw the opposite.
My son really enjoyed it, and I really enjoyed spending the time with him at the game. It was priceless!
