just got home from our MNF game, let me say this first and foremost, it was a SWEATBOX in there. gametime temperature was right at 100, with no wind, i cant remember sweating for 3 and half hours like that ever.
just some random thoughts
DeMarcus Ware is gonna be a great LB for us, but he absolutely got owned by Samuels last night, he has a great burst on his pass rush, but Samuels was able to keep him out wide the whole night, and when he tried to spin back around Samuels was there again, at time he got doubled which would free up someone else.
our run blocking was horrible all night, that goes with out saying, but our pass protection was pretty good last night, the Skins blitzed alot but we failed to take advantage of it.
Keyshawn and Glenn played well, just wished we threw more passes down the field cause Glenn was getting open alot.
obviously the flea flicker worked perfect, and that was a perfectly thrown ball by Bledsoe.
Anthony Henry is the real deal, he blanketed his WR the whole night, and is a very good tackler.
Chris Canty and Spears are just huge, their size is enormous compared to Ellis and Glover. i was very impressed with them
i was very dissapointed in the series they put Thompson in for Julius, even though there wasnt any room for Tyson to run, i felt like that was a critical drive for us that went 3 and out.
everybody probably wants to know about the 2 TD passes to Moss, both plays were well covered believe it or not, the passes were right on the money, the only thing is Aaron Glenn was 10 yards of the line on both plays, and you just cant give Santana Moss that kindve of cushion, the guy has unbelievable speed, and obvioulsy was able to outrun both Glenn and RW on both plays. who ever said Brunell cant throw a deep ball is F.O.S.
the pass to Keyshawn that was brought back by the holding penalty stunk, we wouldve won the game right there, didnt see any replays, so cant comment, but Flozel stunk that up.
during the halftime ceremony Emmitt Smith recieved the loudest ovation of the 3, he really had the gleam in his eye, Aikman was to far from the mic, was hard to hear what he was saying. and i think Irvin was about to bust out in tears but held them in.
last but not least, it was very embarrasing after the game leaving the stadium, there were more Skins fans there than i anticipated and it was just a sick feeling listening to that Hail to the Commander chant in the parking lot.
