Game of the year coming in two weeks

I know that as fans we project and look ahead....but just win..the NFL is a funny league in that stunning upsets and devastating injuries can happen at a moments notice changing the entire landscape of the playoff picture. JUST BEAT MINNESOTA...is all that matters.

I know what you meant, just questioning why #2 instead of #1.

just saying if we lose a game or two and fall to the two seed it basically is going to guarantee a matchup with the giants.

i don't think Atlanta/detroit/Tampa have a chance against that NY defense in a playoff game.

Hopefully we get the 1 seed. If we had the 1 seed in 14 I think we make the Super Bowl.

Unless we close to Minny and they win at Pitt, we'll still have the inside track to winning the division.

The Gmen don't ever really play to impress,,,,they play just good enough to win and are never Impressive. We are better.
I agree with you, but we arent exactly blowing teams out. 4 out our last 5 games we had to come from behind or seal a win in the 4th quarter. Their defense is playing at a higher level than ours. Our defense has dropped to dead last in yards per drive. We should have Church back by then tho.

10 wins. Can't argue with it.
And I agree you can only beat who is in front of you.
But Dallas has beaten one team that currently has a winning record. But they did beat that team twice.
That will change, as chances are the next several games with be vs teams with winning records.
Floundering Minnesota still is 6-5.
The Giants will be 2-3 games over .500
Detroit will probably still be > .500.
Maybe Philly will squeak over .500 too.
They'll beat them too.:D

Dak and Zeke were making their rookie debuts vs the Giants in the opener and both had their weakest games of the season. We still almost won the game had Dez's TD not been reversed and Twill managed to get out of bounds in the final seconds allowing Bailey a shot at the FG. Both Dak and Zeke's games are way above where they were in the opener. With the Giants only a couple of games back we have to keep winning because they own a tiebreaker on us.

That matchup with the giants will be:
  • A statement game
  • A knock down drag out game
  • A real test game
  • Not a trap game
  • A tough divisional game
  • A playoff lock game
  • A win and you're in game for the cowboys
  • A class of NFC east game
  • The best game of the day
  • Game of the week game
  • A potential playoff matchup game
  • A revenge game - for the cowboys
  • A warm up game for the playoffs
  • Not a rest your starters game yet - too early
Can't wait
say all that again -backwords

Im not big on looking ahead. However win or lose next week VS Minnesota, the Giants game the following week will prove to be the most critical game of the year.

At 7-3, they are two games behind us and already have 1 win against us. If both teams win next week and we lose to NY we still have a one game lead, but a very uncomfortable one. If we lose next and they win and beat us the following week, that puts them atop the division with a sweep. If we win this week and they lose and lose the following week again us, that will give us an almost insurmountable lead in the division (not sure if that would clinch)

Any way next weeks games play out, the Giants game will be HUGE
Im actually more concerned with having to face the Giants in the playoffs. Would be a huge disaster and embarrassment to have the best record league wide only to have them do us in in the playoffs. Will never hear the end of it...

Correct. One game at a time.

Not really. I have the Giants finishing 10-6 or 9-7. After Cleveland, they will lose most of their games. We will beat them by 10+

Not sure we can keep counting on that if our defense continues to get torched. The Commanders went up and down the field but they are 3rd worst in red zone scoring and the Giants are better defensively than the Commanders. If we give up that kind of yardage to the Giants there is an increased chance we lose. Not that Dak and Zeke are not amazing, but at some point it could become too much.
Talk to me when a team does it to us when they are not behind and we are not playing prevent. Until then, enough with this crazy talk. The skins had SIX POINTS in 3 Quarters. Good grief man.

I just can't believe we are sitting here at 10-1 and still having to look over our shoulder in our division this year. Amazing how greatly improved it is from last year.

When are people going to learn. We lean on our short yardage plays to move the clock. This is what we're good at. If you blitz us, Dak finds the open man, if you don't blitz us, Dak has all day to find the open man, if you play 7 in the box, Zeke destroys you. If you want to score on offense, you have to walk down the field.

We're not losing, get used to it.

Our style will never blow people out like other teams style will. Our blowouts will be two score leads with the other team having to throw 51 times to keep up. Like yesterday when it was never really close.

Pittsburgh has a winning record now as well

Pittsburgh will beat the Giants. And I don't see the Giants winning at Philly and at Washington. Not happening. They definitely lose 2 of those 3 road games if not all 3. If we beat Minny I don't think our game with the Giants will mean a whole lot in the grand scheme.
