Game plan: Beat The Eagles...

I hear the reports out now, Parcells made up this team to beat the hated team from Filthy...

Guess what?

We DO have a team that can beat Filthy, yep...PASSED them in terms of talent on the field...

However, where this game will be won & lost is who Game plans the best before, during, 1/2 time & throughout the 2nd 1/2...

COACHING is the major diff right now...

If things stay the same with our current attitude of BOTH cords. then forget it...

However we can beat them if:
Major changes are made in our scheme on D...

I can't take another year of McChunky soup LAUGHING DURING the game at how EASY it is to play "Their game" and do whatever they want to vs a passive & predictable zimmy wuss D...

Heads up Zim, this one is for you...

McChunk is wounded, but still has a strong arm and will make HUGE plays on us if we don't changeup & pressure him and the offense EVERYDOWN!

How to attack?
1st:
New lineup in the front 7 fella's...
On D line base 3-4...
Spears, Fergy & Canty...
Powerful yet athletic players who can make a larger impact from the start of the game...
Glover & Ellis will become much more effective if allowed to come in the game later...I like Ratliff too, more PT fopr him, good wheels!

See, playing "occupy & engage" is a easy win for them, we already have seen that...

FORCE the issue, DICTATE the WHOLE game...NEVER STOP!
I am attacking the LOS everyplay...

I am going to make my game plan to hit McChunk every play...Of course your checking for run along the way...If its a pass, someone HIT Westbrook on the way...

The front 7 really needs to become much more unpredictable...
Games & stunts MUST be made to free up our new weapons on D and create mistakes having such powerful players up front we can now do stunts like hard charges outside for the DE's while James & Ware blitz inside...

Still want to try Ware one on one with a WR like TO?
Then Teach him how to stone TO at the LOS! (While Roy takes a hard, well times blitz inside/or out...But have over the top coverage that is ready to make a play ASAP!

Filthy is well coached on offense of course and McChunk will try quick dumpoffs to Westbrook & LJ, with some slants sprinkled in...Those hot reads must be attacked & picked off!

We can't blitz and play back 8-9 yards on 3rd 6, thats insane zimmy, NEVER do it again!

McChunk FORCES the ball when pressured, we need to take advantage!
If we do those times, that he forces it, we should have 3 picks EASY...

I dog Dat alot because I want a tougher, faster, bigger ILBer, but he can be VERY effective making these quick reads...But is he fast enough to make the REALLY big play?
Don't go back in that zone 12 yards back, I want him readying the quick pass & making a play on it!

James is a MUCH better, more powerful LBer to blitz on early downs. He is the guy to blitz from the inside, not Dat...James is our best hitter at LBer & has the Quickness and toughness to take DOWN McChunk!

The nickle D is where the most changes need to be made.
So far its the worst excuse I have ever seen for a defense that actually wants to stop a offense...

Could it ever become more plain Jane?
We rush 4 men who do no stunts..Giving the whole offense the advantage in knowing what were going to do and how much time they will have to do it...
Ware vs a NFL OT is not to our advantage this year...Ware must be used much better, coming in different directions along with Roy another great Blitzer who isn't used well. Roy is the other guy who must be brought up in the box...Quick reads, is he blitzing or not? But one thing for sure, I want him bringing the pain!

I have researched Pile some and I want to give him a shot in thew deep zones, he has some good experence getting picks in his younger days...Now is his time to shine!

My big switch in the nickle is replacing Shanle with Burnett & blitzes & fake blitzes always...

Did everyone see how badly old man Brunnel made Shanle look?

Even an injured McChunk will make him look silly...

Dat is also too slow unless used right in this D...So for now he stays in, but is used reading those quick pickup reads...No guts no glory Dat man...
This D should get you 2 picks!

Burnett replaces Shanle, yep, right NOW!
He was coached at that spot this summer...
He gives us another "McChunk KILLER" He must be used to attack!

Of course he is also fast & tough enough with good enough feet to be able to do damage vs McChunk or the Key IMHO for their offense....Westbrook...
We can't let him loose in the running or passing game...He needs someone on him ALWAYS!

We need players on him BEFORE a pass is even attempted...He gets a lil room to move and its too late...Thats where Dat needs to read his keys & make those plays in this vital area of the game...

Forcing mistakes while hitting McChunk early, often & throughout the WHOLE game is how to beat them...Dont for one play allow him time to throw deep...

If we get a lead on them by half, I am changing to Killer Davis to the other LBer in the Nickle taking out Dat to finish the 2nd 1/2 with even more pressure & quickness! (Talk about a NEW & improved Bill Bates in the Nickle pkg!) Davis is a player, he just isn't a FS...

Laugh? No we want McChunky Soup to cry, we want our home field fans to cheer LOUD & to once again proudly know were playing a DOOMSDAY defense, not Dumbsday..
Were BEATING Filthy, not watching them laugh at us another year...

When you play Dallas from now on, your going to get HURT!

Play this way, we get:
3 picks
3 forced fumbles & 2 recoveries...
6 sacks!
Sound good so far?

Well, we still need more scoring...

Lets start with a change at punt returner...
Crayton has decent hands as a fielder of punts but he runs so upright, he will get killed if he doesn't start running lower to the ground...

Anyway, this is a changeup...50% I want NEWMAN out there...He gives us a chance to make a big return...Do it, its time Big Bill...

On offense Filthy can be overpowered at times, but can we and will we keep attacking them & wear them down?

One of the best top 2 DC's in the game, Jim Johnson will be changing looks on us every series...& of course bringing pressure and stunts...

Look out for any & every blitz possible!
How we are ready, willing & able to handle them is vital, as they do have the ability & know how to force turn overs and big plays...

We need to sell play action much better...
Jones might be best used as a decoy to start as we free up & force them to play honest D...

Witten, Key & Jones must be ready for the hot reads to move the chains & kill their spirit on D!

Glenn must be used early down the middle of the field as their safetys hit hard but lack deep speed like ours...On plays like that Witten going over the middle will force them to pick who to cover...

More offensive notes...
Many of our running plays are too slow to develop, giving a attacking team like Filthy time to read it and stop Jones in the backfield before he can get started...

We need to continue to improve our Screen game...I think Witten off of blitz looks could be very effective after faking to JJ the other way...

Other notes...
Barber's off this game A-Train active...

One of the best ways to slow down a great blitzing team like Filthy is to do what Emmitt was VERY good at early in his career...

Coming up & meeting a blitzing LBer on the chin with a head of steam...It takes talent & toughness, but its what I want A-Train to do early in this game...I love Trotters game, but we need to smack him & others back harder!

I also want to see more of Gurode...Filthy's D line isnt big, they can be pushed back and we can create a running game if blocked right...

Jones needs to be better used in the passing game...These lil dumps suck and are bad angles for him to catch & turn up and create mismatches...

OK Predictions?

Well, my innovative way on D?
We win going away 28-17

Same passive & predictable crap from our goofball of a DC squiggy?

Then its we lose yet another game where our players are held back..
Same score, but they win...28-17 :banghead:

I think it's going to be a puntfest for us. But the game will be close. McNabb and TO will hook up deep a few times.

The score won't indicate the lopsided game.

I still think about McNabb & TO doing their little charade on the sideline last year during the MNF game remember? McNabb pretending like he was yelling at TO up and down the sideline. Makes me want to puke, hope we put a hurting on them.

wow what the hell are u smoking.

QB: they have a perennial probowler, we have an old retread who to his credit has been overachieving, but at this age, not in hte same league as mcnabb.

RB: id give the nod to JJ but westbrook is just as good, he just does his damage on screens instead of runs

WR: not evne close, TO is arguably the best wr in hte game, we have a couple solid players in key and glenn, but lets not kid ourself into thinking theyre considered top 2-3 wr's in the league like TO is.

DE: we have a first round pick in ellis, who is usually solid, but never anything more than that. they have kearse, a legitimate sack machine, who could make the pro bowl every year, and is feared around hte league.

defense: i think we out talent them on defense, or it is pretty close, but the d coordinator is what makes the real difference between the two teams. that and us playing a lot of rookies, and them mostly have established vets.

we definitely havent passed them in talent, at this point, but were getting closer.

Ellis had more sacks than the "sack machine" last year.

Our receiving corp is better overall.

Our defensive line is better overall. We have more depth at those positions. They have the better secondary.

We have more talent at the linebacker position, but we are inexperienced. We also have a DC that doesn't know squat.

They have more talent at the RB position. The have better depth at this time as well. We may pass them in this department once our young guys get more experience, but until then they have that over us.

They have the better quarterback, but Bledsoe is not overachieving. He is playing like he usually does when given time...to bad he had none in Oakland.

We have the better TE when we use him.

We very well could beat them come Sunday, but we are going to have to come out with a totally new gameplan on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

good points. but does anyone seriously come to dallas and say oh man we gotta watch out for Greg Ellis, hes a bad mofo. teams actually have to gameplan for Kearse, they double triple team him. I dont wanna get down on Ellis, because i like him and hes a good player, but he isnt a threat, nobody gameplans for him, he isnt making any probowls and never will, his talent level is far below that of Kearse. Overall we have a solid wr corp, but in terms of "Talent" , i'd trade key and glenn anyday of the week for TO. When he is at his best, hes almost unstoppable.

Personally, I'm glad we have Ellis. He always seems to make a play when we need one.

And I feel that he will have a bigger impact as the season progresses. For a while there he and Glover were the only guys on our defensive line capable of making an impact. With the new talent we have coming along nicely, it will open up for him a lot more. Teams will have to keep track of Ware, Canty and Spears as well as Ellis and Glover.

so am i. but not as mad as i am about us passing on Leftwich to get him, but thats all the past. he's been a good cowboy and will probably end his career here, if canty and spears dont steal all his playing time.
